Re: Hardware Reset Button / Hard Reset ?

Word on the street is that a "true" hardware reset can only be performed by a program that only Sprint techs have access to. You can always revert to factory defaults through the menu>settings>sdcard>factory data reset option....you've gotta be booted to do it.

If anyone has info to the contrary that would be awesome.

I work for Sprint Corp Tech support.. and had someone call in today and I referred them to a repair shop. I think it is stupid not being able to do a 'hard' reset without being able to acces the phone.

Exclamation Re: Hardware Reset Button / Hard Reset ?

WARNING; This May and Will mess up your phone if you do not know what you are doing!

I can not help you if you do mess up your phone, be sure you made a back up. Play around at your own risk!

Take out the battery, put it back in. Simultaneously press [Send] + [Center Track] + [End] buttons on bottom portion of front face. It will turn on and display "Samsung" and fill a grey bar, then turn yellowish, poof you are now at the self test menu.

Enjoy, don't forget to click thanks if you found that helpful.

From there, go to reset and you should be able to hard reset the device.

And there isn't a way listed in the manual unfortunately.
I was in the store and someone was in there with a Moment that had the too many pattern attempts problems and they couldn't figure it out. I think they ordered him another, refurb I guess, I dunno though.

BTW Welcome Brownap2 even though I see you have been a member a long time

Actually tht is Incorrect... i also work for Sprint and all you have to do is pull battery and before power up hold DOWN+SEND+END it will show a small grey bar then goto a screen that prompts you to delete sd card and phone or just phone (hit the end button) phone will wipe then prompt you to reset (push up) thats it reset
