well smartass it says on my phone baseband de03, firmware 2.1, and build elair.de03
it still says cl14 on the site but when you click the download it is 101meg and it is 2.1 your welcome

the actual upgrade was posted when this was released. but it was pulled due to it being a mistake and it was supposed to be out tommorow. its the real deal guys, sheesh the wait has made some of you bitter hehehe...

dont know other than i downloaded it about 1 hour ago and yes it says cl14 and only 84meg but when you click the file to download it shows 101 and is the 2.1. Download now before the server is swamped tomorrow.

All you said was you downloaded "it"... I don't see anything attached in this thread except the PDF and you didn't clarify what "it" was specifically.

Now I see that you've downloaded the Sprint Utility which has the 2.1 in it and not the CL14 as the site indicates at the moment.

I look in the binary file and find this SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar.md5

I flashed it about an hour ago, I dont see what you are all talking about it being "cool" It don't have Live Wallpaper, Pinch to Zoom, has the OLD version of Gallery. Other then being 2.1 and having Text to Speech it is a DUD!

Update: It does have the slide to unlock screen and answer, and Navigation

When this happens to me, I leave the screen where it's at, unplug my USB cable for a few seconds and then plug it back it... this gets the update to finish:scratch:

Sometimes I have had to restart the phone too to even get the download to start.

how funny. i just did the root and the 2.1 yesterday. would have been a lot easier just to wait. anyone going to this from the leaked ones we have had let us know if it is worth the bother of doing the real update

I been on them all....I like it so far...still tinkering, just installed the joeykim v7 root from sd card after flashing the 2.1 tar.

I just downloaded and flashed worked great. I am really glad it is finally here , could not wait till morning to download. I will play with in morning though, hope it was worth the wait...I am happy with sprint again:headbang:

no.......but you need to root it with joey's v7 from your sd card after you flash to 2.1

Do I need to downgrade from Caulkins before I try and do the Sprint update?
If so, do I need to return to the original sprint rom on the phone and where can I find it to download? took a quick look and didn't see any mention.

It's so nice to be able to stream Slacker, Pandora, and last.fm while multitasking and get zero stuttering now. Big improvement.

Spent the whole morning customizing 2.1 :headbang:

So far, it seems a lot snappier.

Google talk seems to display status a lot better than 1.5. Something small but annoyed the heck out of me.

Haven't had a chance to try out the navigation but I will later today.

I've tested voice search and it's amazing. Main reason why I wanted 2.1. That and google nav. so psyched!! :headbang:

Task killer shows more free memory than before.

Built in lock screen is nice. Can't wait to get this beast rooted.

Camera has a few more options to choose from and has a new template look. Easier to turn the flash on/off.

does it come with live wallpaper, pinch to zoom etc?? i mean if not than why would i switch from joey's kernal and caulkins rom?? is the performance better? please enlighten me.

You can install live wallpapers seperate. Yes performance is that much better. No pinch to zoom.

There are plenty of free widgets, just depends on what your looking for. As for the features or differences. Theres actually a lot of small things that changed that just make everything a better all around experience. Some things Ive noticed so far include...

New unlocking system (instead of tapping menu)
New icons
Couple new widgets
Voice search
Updated Market layout
Music player is extremely better now recognizing ID3 tags
Google Navigation (different than google maps)
Google Goggles now available
New camera layout and options
Minor bluetooth fixes
Minor improvements to all around speed & performance

May also be a few things I left out but definitly worth the download
