is it any better than the cooked roms we have already. i mean if i have been running 2.1 already is it worth switching back over to the stock rom?

Just ran the official update - no living wallpaper?
 

Maybe I am missing something but my Wallpapers options are just Pictures and Wallpaper Gallery. How do I do living wallpaper, or was it pulled from the release?

Welp. A review after a full day of HEAVY use on the official 2.1

Not a single EVDO lock up what so ever. I twittered, facebooked, browsed the web, stayed on irc for 11hrs, slacker, pandora, last.fm throughout the day randomly, installed downloaded apps. Not a single lock up.

GPS is no where near as buggy. With 1.5 there were at times the stupid GPS wouldn't lock on AT ALL until I rebooted the device. Now it locks on pretty darn consistently. Indoors it still sucks but outdoors it usually takes less then a minute to lock in. Worked fine in the car.

Google navigation isn't bad. I prefer it over Sprint (which I only used once before deleting it).

Much more snappier and stable.

Overall very satisfied with this update.

Not the first time I've heard of the official release not having live wallpaper. Leave it to Sprint to mess up a good thing. Gonna do more research and see what I come up with.
