guys i'm here. the tp2 was given to me and Im SICK of all the flashing and resetting and all the bs WM has to offer at the moment. i had an upgrade for a while now and im finally going to use it to get the moment. can you guys help me with what rooting the device does for me. and i read that samsung locked up the device...what did they mean by that...

I had three previous WM phones (Samsung 730i, HTC Mogul and Touch pro. )

It is an insult to the Android to put them in the same category. Usable internet... reliable interface. My goodness, it's like I was drowning for all those years.

I always hated WM but suffered through it. This is a dream compared. And it's still at early stages! I'm satisfied with 1.5.. cant wait for the 2.1

Well I'll tell you what's not funny, this Samsung Moment is some serious stuff.

I feel the same way. Just gave my wife my TP2. She's texts a lot more than I do and she's been wanting a touch screen phone so I figured the TP2 would be better for her. Found a Moment NIB for a steal. I love this phone. The only thing I'm going to miss on the TP2 is that great keyboard - oh and the .4 in of screen size. I just got tired of hunting for a ROM that everything just works on and is stable. Just can't wait for 2.1 for Android. There are so many apps for driod it's unbelievable. Microsoft had better get off it's ass b/c Android is kicking it IMHO.

what abotu us that have one of each? have 2 on my account but love my tp2 forever (till the tp3) the moment is nice love the processor i just need to figure out how to unlock it lol (well root it)

Had mine less than 12 hrs. Root is already done. Look at the sticky post on root info. It was easy. Can we say wireless tether?

I loved my TP2. The screen was awesome and so was the keyboard. It seemed like every ROM I tried was fast in the beginning but eventually would lag. Sprint is taking forever for their update and I ran across the deal on the Moment and couldn't pass it up. I'm waiting on the Supersonic. I guess I'm just tired of WinMo and all it's bugs.
