Cannot take a picture on my phone

Hello peeps and Happy Holidays to all!

I just brought the Intrepid, after researching the need to have WM on a phone and a reliable keyboard. Oh, and I re-signed with Sprint for another 2 yrs, so the phone was in my price rage and had favorable reviews.

On my phone, for some reason, after I tried to take a picture it goes into the "cam mode" rather than taking a picture. I looked in the "pictures & videos" only to find no pictures of mine.

Can someone help me take a picture on this phone please? I followed the instructions and pressed the "camera" bottom but it only goes into "cam".

In case no one knew:

The "erase" and "return" bottoms can be used as a standard "back" function, although, not for every situation but most.

I received a call while in the "lock" mode. Although, the "lock" function takes a while at times to slide over, unlike Iphones.

There are lots of WM free apps and I would like to understand how I can run an app on my WM phone?

If someone has the correct way to a forum / sticker for instructions, I can follow them and do the rest.

Thanks, and happy holidays again!
