Connecting an Intercept to Win7 x64

Just picked up this phone two days ago and I'm fairly happy with it thus far with one big exception - I can't connect it to my computer with the USB cable. When I plug it in, the computer just reports "Unknown USB Device."

Sprint customer support is useless as usual, although they did give me a nice credit for sitting on hold with them for an hour. But the real bombshell came when I called Samsung. The tech person on the phone claimed that the Intercept doesn't support 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

Really? You don't support the second most popular operating system sold today? (From what I've found, 45 percent of the Windows 7 userbase is using the 64 bit version) Anyone have any idea of a potential solution to this problem?
