US cellular Mesmerize Thethering+

Ok i used to tether for free on my TP2 I was just wondering how u did it on the mesmerize. Im new to android so sorry if this is common sense.

Get rooted..once rooted go here:

Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code

and download the pre14 version on your phone then install it.

If you want USB Tethering then PDAnet would work.

I think your rooting is same as a Fascinate...

or if you want to do it from an app I think z4mod is it.

ok thanks for all the help. Another question I read online the galaxy S can play HD video is there a certain media player I need? The reason I ask is because i tried playing a 720p video and it was going at like 1FPS

Realistically speaking it has the specs to play 1080p (but not yet)..it might be a software bug or a compatibility issue..if you want you can try another video player..

Native Video player:

mVideoPlayer

Software Decode Media Player:

RockPlayer

Have any experience with putting custom text tones to contacts im using handcent but i cant figure out how to do it. ill try the other media players thanks
