Low light isn't great. ISO cranks so high that fine detail gets a little water-color-y. I was actually kind of impressed that I could pull off the shot at all, so it's actually a plus for the camera.

The 720p video is not great. Like the EVO, it's SERIOUSLY compressed. If I had to give the iPhone camera any victory over the Epic camera, it does put video out at a higher bit rate.

In all it's a solid performer. I'm not sure there are going to be any noticeable strengths or weaknesses over the EVO camera with the exception of resolution.

Nice shots, thanks for sharing.

Yeah capacitive buttons are a little finnicky. I can see why people are saying to "swipe". They have a particular "feel" to them that seems to require a longer or lingering touch than other capacitve buttons I've used. Once you get used to them though. I like them better than the hyper active buttons on older phones like the chocolate.

Camera hardware button has a similar feel oddly enough. Because the button is "two stage" for focusing AND taking the pic, you have to hold it down longer than you think you should to activate the camera app.

Is the screen is gorilla glass- I read on Engadget that it was-
Do you think it will scratch easy i.e. with some keys in the pocket?

Samsung said all Galaxy devices had Gorilla Glass, but I'm WAY too scared to test that LOL. We JUST started talking to Samsung, and would like to stay on their good side for future reviews LOL.

I write for a blog called YourTechReport.com. Not a gear-head site AT ALL, just a place to chat gadgets for people that might not be as tech savvy. We're an off shoot of the YourTechReport minutes you can hear as interstitials on some of the Sirius/XM talk channels.

CONGRATS!
I was NOT a Samsung fan AT ALL. My sister got burned using an Instinct, but these new Galaxy devices are SERIOUSLY savvy.

Have fun with it! Probably the best screen I've seen on a mobile device yet!
