I'm having a really big problem with my HTC Touch... It comes up with "No Radio..."
 

I didn't add anything new to it or anything, it just decided to start not turning on. Before you say anything, I did some researching and just could not find anything to fix my problem...
It starts up with the screen that says, "HTC Smart Mobility," and then a few seconds later, the little info message thing at the bottom comes up. I don't remember what it normally says, but now it's saying:
"M03 No Radio
B 01 D 1.12"

I have tried holding the camera button while rebooting and it worked once, but now the menu won't come up again. I suppose I could keep trying if that's what it takes. I've just been taking out the battery to turn it off and then putting it back and trying again. Nothing it working, and nothing is different. I am very dependent on my phone and probably have a million text messages, so you would be my hero if you could help. Thank you so so much!

PS: I don't know anything really, about these things, so telling me to "flash" this, and get that-- I really don't understand any of this. Sorry... =\

I would back up anything you want to save to your storge card and do a hard reset. If you don't know how to do that check the help file in your phone, your manual, or check back here. I think you just hold down the call and end buttons while you stick the stylus in the hole.

Oh, well, I can't turn it on to back anything up. But I have looked and there isn't a reset button anywhere... Thank you very much for your help, though....

Hmm not sure if your just on touch, but I have a touch pro from Sprint, and Im on the 1.11 radio is works good for me. I'd try putting that one on there, dont worry anything wrong with your phone someone on here can fix it. Or at the worst, insurance claim.

Make sure your phone isnt in airplane mode or the phone radio isnt turned off, before anything else

Uhh, okay, it's a weird file extension, so I saved the file, and it says Windows can't open it... Am I supposed to just save the file on my phone and leave it like that, orr...?

Download to your computer, open where the file is and right click and extract the file... then connect your phone with the cord.. click on Rom Update Utility, it'll walk you through it, or go back to the radio's page, there should be detailed instructions..!!

Well my computer isn't recognizing my phone because it isn't turned on properly... Active Sync says no device is connected... Is there anything I can do about it? :sad:

I just reset it by holding the Talk and End buttons and turning it on. It said to reset everything, press the Send button. I did, and it restored. It said, "Press Send button to restart." I did that. and it restarted... And came up with the SAME screen again!!

Hmm.... Idk man, I may be stumped on this one too, On my pro , I can hold volume down and then hold my power button utill a tri-color screen pops up.. Thats when I connect it to my computer and use the update utility.

Take your stylus out and push the tip into the hole just to the right of the usb port while holding down the talk and end buttons. All three at the same time. That should hard reset.

I just did that, and it reset and after the restert, it came up with the same error again...

With the phone turned off,
Press and hold the camera button,
while holding that, press the power button to turn on.
This should bring you into bootloader mode (tri-color screen.)
It should say serial down at the bottom,
and you should plug it in to the usb cable to your computer.
the "serial" text should change to "usb"

Go to: http://www.htc.com/us/support.aspx
and download the right rom for your carrier.
once that downloads, run that exe with the phone still plugged in
and saying usb at the bottom.

It should flash the phone just as if you had it hooked to activesync.
And stock roms have the radio's included and will overwrite/install a radio.
I never recommend updating just the radio only (like suggested above)
Those tend to cause problems.

Okay, I downloaded that, and turned my screen on the tri-color screen. It is connected to my computer and the "serial" changed to "USB."
I started the rom up and it was working all right until it was starting to transfer to my phone... It comes up with a loading bar on my computer at 0%, and one on my phone, too.. But then my phone went black, vibrated and came back to the loading bar screen. Then the box on my computer stops and says...
"This update utility cannot be used for you PDA phone. Please check your update utility."

It is strange to me that this just happened without warning and without him trying to mod his phone in the first place. I can't believe that the radio just vanished. Maybe something in the phone just failed and the only solution is to take it in for repair or replacement. I dunno. Just is weird.

Make sure you got the right rom for your carrier. Sprint. Then if you do what codybear said, that should work.
Another thought, Codybear if you read this, does she have to unlock anything before she does this?
Maybe that's why it won't work.

I spend weeks on it, and it was siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

Well, it was working. It got to ten percent, and my computer is ridiculous so things disconnect randomly, and my phone got disconnected... I REALLY think this might work, though. I'm super excited! I'm going to go try again and hope it doesn't disconnect. =\

But yeah, it's happened to me before, I have a few diff design accounts because I'm a online css and html guru at afhb2000.com,

o well.
but I would do designs for all my friends and family and what not.
and I would have it all set up on one profile, copy and paste into another,
and it would just scramble the page.
So I'd have to slowly piece it back together again.

But this one was already working for a few months, and then all of a sudden got screwed up.

Hu... Okay. Now it started up, and instead of everything else, it JUST says, "No Radio," in red.
Then shuts off, vibrates, and turns back on and does the same.
Over and over.
Like Crimson and Clover. x_X;
