NEW and Confused - Roms Touch

I am very very new to flashing my rom and wanting to upgrade my phone. I have an Alltel Htc Touch..and i am very very curious on how to do this..

I dont want to brick my phone or install a rom that isnt made for my phone. I am looking for WM 6.1 and i have been doing a lot of research but still am very confused on which rom or roms i should DL

if anyone out there can lead me in the right direction that would be great.

Read in this thread - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24930. With the kitchen you can build your own rom, including what you want and excluding what you don't want (GPS vs. no GPS). See also www.ppckitchen.org. Read carefully and ask questions if you're not sure what something means or what to do.
