WP-Activate icons and WeatherPanel icons are mutually exclusive and aren't interchangable. See this post for more info...

Hi

I am in need of some help. I downloaded and installed both the main app and the widget here and added the WP Active widget onto my lifestyle screen but when i click on it nothing happens. During the injecting part it came up with an error about no WP city found. I can't find where to run configuration to add the city. When I look in my programs folder i have a WP Widget folder and a WP Active icon but nothing else. Please help. I can supply screen shots if needed. Thank you.

Edit** I did a soft reset and got the configuration to work so i got a city but now i can't find the configuration again. And when I click on my Widget nothing happens.

Make sure WeatherPanel is actually running on your Today screen, and then re-inject.

The inject menu is in Mobile Shell's menu -> WeatherPanel or, go to the real Start -> Programs -> WP-Widget -> WP Inject Widget ...

Ok, um how do I make sure its on my today screen? Do you mean like a widget on my main lifestyles screen? I am so lost.

To see your Today screen from Mobile Shell, open the menu (lower right) and choose Show Today.

WeatherPanel needs to be running on your Today screen for the link to work. If it's not there:

While on the Today screen, go to Start (upper left corner of the screen) -> Settings -> Today -> Items tab -> make sure WeatherPanel is checked -> OK

oh good grief i knew that. opps. now here is my other issues.

Also how do i change this pop up to look like the Phat Fingers theme pop up?

My suggestion for solving both of these questions is to download and install PhatPhinger IV...

It doesn't work on MS3.5 for me (that I can figure out anyway). I can get an icon showing that opens weatherpanel when pressed, but it will not display the widgets for me (ie WeatherPanelDetail) that show current condition. If I use the cab from this thread (which is the most updated I think), it gives an error saying "the widget named 'link' isn't registered with Mobile Shell." How did you get past that error abumhmmd1?

i got it to work with mobile shell 3.5 but i had to install WP-Activate (v 2.0) cab.CAB first from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1268 then install wp-activate from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=909663

it working fine right now.. i hope this help

you have to reinstall WP-Activate (v 2.0) cab after MSH3.5 ,
continue all steps ; do not bother for any error messages ; then softreset .

Thanks for the help. The best I can get is adding the icon from the shortcuts-weatherpanel folder. The icon shows and if I choose text, it will say '53 Feels like 53' and then has text that gets cut-off. I am unable to find how to add the widgets (WeatherPanelBigTemp, WeatherPanelCompact, WeatherPanelDetail) that were present in MS3. They do not show up in the widget panel like they used to. Are you guys able to use those widgets?

Nope...me neither. I have the same issue; the widget doesn't work any more (Im sure storyr will fix it)...I am still keeping the "non-functional" widget on my homescreen, cause i need my weatherpanel everyday! (and it still works whenI enter the program, so better than nothing!)

as of many still wondering how to inject WP Activate v2.0 into MSH3.5

I PMed storyr...he is no longer using WM :( Not sure what he moved too...but we no longer have his wiget expertise...I sure hope someone gets this fixed...I really miss my WP working widget...](*,)

I decided to try this again...I installed the version 2 activate, and soft reset after it installed, and I received the error message...it works! It is limited to "feels like" or "Partly cloudy" verbiage only...but the visual is correct again, so this is fine until we get someone to get everything working again...One difference is that I installed it to main memory, not the SD as i had done before...maybe that was the fix??

*EDIT - One more thing...is there a WVGA version of WP that fills the screen?

Hell I can't even get past injecting the widgets, I get the widget name Link isn't registered, after I click ok and restart, I'm going to WP Activate and the error message I'm getting is Weather Panel install not found...](*,)
