I'm having a problem disabling the preinstalled lock (the one where you type your numeric password on a key pad) & disabling the preinstalled dialer. It's messing up my Slide2unlock & a few other things. I have a reg editor & did try what someone posted but would you mind giving me the step by step instructions for dummies?

im confused on what your asking... sorry you want to get slide2unlock working? and whats stopping it?

heres another question, idk if it pertains to this but i figured it does. after running the exe, after a while it sometimes goes into a password lock screen, and idk wat the password, i kno its not something i did because i haven't locked my phone. any idea what this is?

you need to locate the app... i would imagine its \program files\googlemaps\googlemaps.exe at least thats what mine is

ive never seen this ever... it has to be something you did this is just an exe on top of the today screen ive never seen it ask for a password... what do you do to get around it soft reset?

I have slide working but it doesn't work right. I think that is because I'm confusing the phone by adding programs but not disabling any of the old or factory preinstalled ones. Sometimes my Slide2unlock pops up when i get a call & the caller id is messed up. I can't see who is calling, the number comes up but with no name (& it's someone I have stored in my contacts) or I can't answer the call no matter what i do. I think it's because I have 2 caller id programs running but i don't know how to shut the one down.

The other thing that may or may not be a problem is the lock on the phone that is a numeric lock. It's factory installed. It still comes up if i dont use the phone for a prolonged period.

PS-Did you ever get that dialer to work?

the callerid mess up happens to me i wanna try it off a hard reset but thats for another time i dont know why it does it but it happens to me not all the time just randomly

as far as the dialer it required to much image editting for the time i hvae righ tnow altho i did have another one if u want to try it out im attaching it here

yea i've been soft resetting, but its annoying, especially when i start losing shyt, like i got a text message from a number i didnt kno, went to read it, and turned off the screen by accident, when i turned it back on it asked for a password. i did the soft reset and when it came back on, it was like i never received the message.

well i believe the stock lock code for most phones is the last 4 of your phone number... XXX-XXX-1234 lock would be 1234 at least

also check settings/personal/lock
