Many thanks to Grumps for this wonderful app, to you wowthisisrandom for taking to time help everyone out (whether they be completely illiterate or really experienced), to Torx for the extra icons and finally to all who made this one the two best AUIs (Alternate UIs) through sharing their knowledge, extra files and experiences with the world. I'll post my experiences by next week when I got all the software installed on a freshly setup WM6 Pro (hard reset).

And the all those who see this post and are thinking of posting question on how to install and/or customize the theme, let me say this:

If you don't know how to install/remove programs and edit their configuration files (in the filesystem or the registry) then either give up, google it, read the friendly manual included in the zip file or on the first post or read the previous posts since your question would have been already given a similar if not exact answer. Trust me, I read them all. If the answer isn't there and you've tried to implement what you needed and failed then and only then should you post.

This is a wonderful app, I used for about a week and switched back to HTC Tabs, much more useful in my line of work. But this really fooled a lot of my friends. Great job.

I really like this iphone theme, but for some reason I can't get the live search to work (and it is installed on my mogul.) everything else works flawless! any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

OK...heres my 2 cents, this is by far the best iphone theme out there. I mean there are prettier ones that use WAD and WA2/3, but I aint payin for that memory hoggin BS..

With that being said, I never wanted an Iphone, i need WM functionality, but i do like the ease of having my most used programs in one place, instead of digging thru menus.

Ive read thru this entire thread, seems like whenever theres something new, noobs flood in and want help, but dont want to read thru the instructions not contribute to helping others, of course there are exceptions, but in the world of forums its a sad truth.
LMAO ive never seen the same questions asked so many times before.

Anyways, WOW or anyone else..HTC Home includes a folder called HTC Home Extra, in this folder there is a VERY VERY useful task/system manager embedded in the App. Im looking for the shortcut for it. When i open up the task manager, in the running apps list that it displays I see it plain as day "TaskMgr.exe". I searched up and down, in every folder in file explorer, made sure that all files are shown, and even did a search using the search program, and I cant find this damn .exe even though I can see it running. Im usually not the one to ask questions, I like to figure problems out myself, but this fugger has me bent. Anyone?

any help getting the torx icons on this theme? also does anyone know of any good iphone sound packs for the vouge?

Yes the Torx Icons work but not sure about the sound packs

reinstall it from ur phone browser wls.live.com and it will work like a champ...

try this...

1.open notepad
2. copy and paste this 3.save it and rename it to taskmanager.lnk
4.copy it to your phone
5.link a button to it and see what happens...

install the application and it will work

just put them in the right folder and assign them using iconfig.exe

program files\iphone\icons i think is the right folder look ull find it

still can not get live search to work i entered the link that was on the first page and nothing, theme is really well made, and every other button works except that damn live search if someone call help that will be great

Hi all, first post here and was wondering if someone could help me. I downloaded the Weather Watcher app to my phone and was wanting to replace it with the lock icon and app. Could someone be so kind as to tell me what the path would be for the weather watcher app as well as the icon to replace? Sorry, I'm extremely new to this and many thanks for all the help I've found so far in this thread.

do me a favor since i am in london for the semester and therefore am stuck with a blackberry i can only help from what i remember...

a new version of live search may have come out... do me this favor

install from one of the links in the first post, then use the file explorer to find the live search.exe and tell me where that is...

check under program files\live search

link would be something like \program files\weather watcher\weatherwatcher.exe

thats where i would put it if i made the app but didnt so let me know

Thank you very much wowthatisrandom. Found the app to launch, now I just need to try finding where the default weather icon would be to replace it. I'm going to be looking but if you post or someone else here does so before I find it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Nevermind I found it. Thanks for the help. I'm loving the touch.

Sry guys I am having a big problem getting the 12th button to do a more option. It just keeps giving me an error to the link. Did i setup the page2 wrong, do i need to set one up etc. Anyone who got this working let me know please

Nevermind, I found the thread I needed, but How to i get it to go back once in Page2. I assumed Page1 but it gave me a link error. THanks Any suggestions for cool games or programs. I just thumbed through tons of text to find the fix for this and I prolly shoulda kept an eye out for programs. Anyway, let me know if you guys think I need anything specific. I have most the basics Google maps, Battery Calc explorer, solitare. I want something to show off the the ipod lovers THanks

Hi Guys,

I have a Audiovox xv6700 with Window Mobile 5.0. I'm new here and need a lot of help. I downloaded the Grumps iphone theme and it looks great but few of the link is not working.

Buttons are:
Lock
Calculator
Battery
Contacts
L Search
SMS

I've also download the iFONZ iphone theme and when i try to open it, its says "This pplication (iFonz.exe) requires a newer version of the Microsoft.NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device". Could someone help me PLEASE?

If someone could help me, I would really appriciate it. Thank you.

alright first theres a reason they arent working... i dont want to sound like a dick i have just answered the same question sooooooo many times and its really due to the lack of reading... check the 3rd post for the first 3 and the 1st post of contacts live search etc...

also google .net framework 2.0 for wm5 and see what comes up install that and you should be good to go

Thanks for a great looking program. The installation is so easy that a dummy like me was able to install in minutes.

One question though, iPone works properly but when I try to run the iConfig, it says I have an older version of .Net, is there a place you can suggest where I will be able to get the current version of .Net. I use XV6700.

I Have installed it fine and have it working great. I have read and reread every page.
I have remapped some of the buttons installed the weather app and have it working.
But I can't get the SMS split off so it only my SMS and not the whole message thing opens with the SMS button.
I have copied the text word for word tried to cut and paste it but can't get it working.
Can someone help me please I know its just something minor but I am getting tired of seeing file not found.

you shouldnt be extracting anything... copy the cab file to your phone and then open it thru file explorer on ur ppc


which sms app r using? threaded regular one? pcms?

I'm proud to make this my first post here. I have found the fix to make the wm6 contacts load from the iphone launcher. After reading all 39 pages of this thread, I decided I needed to make sure i submitted something I thought would be useful instead of asking questions that had been answered multiple times already.

A ton of thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread already and to this website, I've only had my phone for 2 weeks but have already updated the rom, chosen the best GPS software for me, loaded it and the launcher, and a ton of other stuff!

Oh, here's how you make the contacts work:

-create a text document with the contents:
23#"\Windows\poutlook.exe" contacts

-save it as poutcontacts.lnk
-copy it to you \windows folder on your PPC
-edit your config.txt file to point to the new shortcut: \windows\poutcontacts.lnk

There ya have it!
After a ton of research, i found that launching poutlook.exe with the parameter contacts would launch the contacts program.

You can also see this if you right click on the contacts link form windows explorer and then click the target tab :)

Something I've also found is that the iconfig software will browse only the storage card if inserted and if removed, still will not allow you to drill all the way down to the windows folder, so you have to be willing to edit the config.txt file manually.

Now for a question.
I've downloaded all of the Torx icons but they are in .tga format. Do i need to convert these to bmp files to use with this software?

Oh and BIG props to WOW for answering questions multiple time because people don't have the smarts to read a whole thread before posting their questions.

damn, late night tonight working on this. here is the correct link code for opening different email inboxes.

20#"\Windows\tmail.exe"-service "Gmail" -inbox

paste that into a text document and save as .lnk

change "gmail" to what ever your email account is listed as in the messaging center of wm6.

to get to your outlook email inbox use "ActiveSync" (case sensitive)

So I was up really late last night trying to get this to work. I'm having trouble getting the iphone software to recognize the last icon (bottom right) as a spot with 2 icons associated. I know my config file is right because it is the same path just in a different spot in the config file.

the software will recognize one icon in that area but if i specify 2 (phone and phone with alert) it won't load any icon for that spot.

Is there a chance that the 2 icon path can only be used in certain areas?

First off awesome program!! I tried the wa3 and wad and it just slowed my ppc to a crawl. Anyways I was wondering if its possible to have an icon link to a page. So say the games icon goes to the game window instead of to a .exe. I tried ..Program Files\Games and .Program Files\Games\ but neither worked. Is this even possible?

I'm wondering the same thing, I'd like to get to the programs folder and the system folder as well.

As far as my Phone Icon problem, I think I figured it out.
It seems that only lines 13-15 are capable to of linkng 2 icons. I believe it is written into the software that line 13 is phone, 14 is sms and 15 is email.

i would imagine you could but u can only link to lnk or exe according to the way the software was written... so the only thing i could think of is if u could figure out the exact like to the page your were trying to go to simliar to thew way bugsy has figured out contacts etc...
y not make some game links and make a Page 4 or something and try going about it that way... takes a lil longer but hey best i cant think of

first of all i wanted to say thank you for figuring out the contacts bs i tried for a lil while and gave up bc i was using pcm neways (keep in mind this was b4 ftouch) so it was really the only way to have "iphone" like contacts on a ppc at the time... anways you did some good work...

my next question is, does that link work on wm5 not that i care bc i run wm6 but for other who may be curious....

as far as the images go i think your right about which ones can do 2 images, im pretty sure that Grumps put that into the code bc i feel like wheni was first playing with it i couldnt get it to do what i wanted either...

This theme looks great. I will try to install it soon. I'm currently running todayagenda (a great free calendar program which allows me to see events for up to a month). I'm assuming your skin won't allow todayagenda to be displayed so I was wondering if I can quickly switch between the iphone theme and the htc today screen. Thanks for the help

but of course good sir simply click the battery to close the iphone skin with no problem its what i used to do.. i set up a shortcut in the start menu but when i was using it daily i set a hardkey to open it back up
