Re: Custom Start Icon/Battery/Speaker and EV 1X Icons

[/quote] Looking forward to that one!! I can't create my own cab file and can't figure how to change the EV icon (I'm using v5 I think, and love all the icons but the EV, don't care for the orb) so I'm jazzed about this one! Any idea when you releasing it? Thanks again for the next level stuff... |
Re: Custom Taskbar

Hey Everyone! I have created some start menu icons...some are old, some aren't. I used for the base Nelly's shellres.192.dll and just changed the start icon itself! Yes, they are kinda girlie-girl :-)
So, if you want to see the rest of the icon's check out Nelly's post! Here is the post :-) http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...6&postcount=18 Anyhow, the start icons are shown below and I have attached a big zip file with all of them enclosed! I cabbed em all up for y'all! Thank you very much, Nelly for the icons! Awesome job! http://lh3.ggpht.com/_6Z-tRgADaUw/SY...rt%20Icons.jpg |
Re: Custom Taskbar
Quick question that is probably answered but I sure don't remember seeing it...
I want my taskbar like I had it before, where if you click on an icon it only opens up the properties for that icon and not the HTC screen that allows you to be redundant and choose again. Here is a screenshot of my TF3D: http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...ak_tp_tf3d.jpg When I click on an icon (battery, Activesync, etc.) I get this screen: http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...eak_tp_htc.jpg I know I did it before on one of the stock roms, but I did not make note of what I did and cannot remember. What I want is to click on the battery and the proerties for power come up without the HTC screen. Can someone please help me? |
Re: Custom Taskbar
Perhaps a new set of Ev/1x icons coming soon...

Check your Registry setting and see if it is set to 5, if so maybe set it to 7 and soft reset. <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA" translation="filesystem"> <parm name="SignalStrengthLevel" datatype="integer" value="5"/> </characteristic> 5 = Telus Thick bars 7= Sprint Skinny Bars |
Re: Custom Taskbar
Here is a great example of something i spent a bit of time on, and am not sure i like the final result.
This would be the in call signal strength icon, each bar would show up according to how strong your signal is. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../phonecall.pnghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...phonecall2.png |

So, if the taskbar installs htcvolumecontrol which is already present that might cause a problem, no? I do have shellres.192.dll and shellres.192.dll.0409.mui, but the mui file threw "access denied" when I tried to delete it. The windows dir also has HTCVolumeControl.dll and HTCVolumeControl.dll.0409.mui. There are also four different "shellresapps.dll", if that has any significance. And btw, the ROM I'm using (which is excellent, fast and stable) is Touch-IT Xperience v3.5 RC1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473133 BR //N |

Re: Custom Taskbar
TSOWEN: i have been using your taskbars since your first one and i must say i LOVE them thank you for everything!!! I have a question for you, I tried to ask mike the chief of mighty rom because it involves his rom 4.4.5 and the latest Hotfix, but just the question alone got him upset and would not even disscuse the issue, any ways i will ask you im sorry if this is the wrong place, if so i will not ask again , so i dont know if you use a diamond (mostlikely) but i have v5 1.7 installed with mighty rom 4.4.5, and yesterday he released a hotfix to fix some bugs, after the install of the hotfix it changed my speaker icon to the default plain white one, so i tried a bunch of things to try to fix, if i reinstall your taskbar the icon comes back but the phone goes back to having the problems the hotfix fixes , no matter what i do i can not seem to change the icon back to the sweet one from your taskbar.
anyone running mighty 4.4.5 with tsowens v5 1.7, and the hotfix????? any ideas on what could fix this ???/ i even tried to put the icons in the dll but they are still there??? and your icon shows when the phone is booting but changes to the default one about 30 seconds after the phone boots up.. this has got me stumped!!! thanks alot |

Re: Custom Taskbar
u think the smiley faces wouldve pointed out that i WAS NOT childish, and if u read, clearly i DID reply to ur message, and i told u to reinstall the .cab. so i please ask that u do not troll my name in other threads. its comparative to talking **** behind my back and i definitely dont appreciate that. after the amount of stuff i release, this is what the users go off running around and speaking like this IN OTHER THREADS?
says alot about ur charaCter CHIEF. like i said, if i had his taskbar installed the hotfix would have had that icon installed. now because my rom uses the standard taskbar menu, that dll is not included. kthxbai p.s dont troll my name in other threads. its very rude and CHILDISH |
