You are going to get 2 files for each icon. One is the image, the other is a mask. Are your BT images coming up blurry or distorted?

You were almost there man haha... you didn't finish reading the first post. For the Speaker you have to change it in 3 different locations. When the phone first boots up it reads the speaker icons from the phchanOverbmp.dll, then when TF3D loads it reads them from the HTCVolumecontrol.dll so you have to put them in there as well and I believe the last location is in the shellres Icon group 5072-5074

Could you zip up and post your new phcanoverbmp.dll? I'll take a look at it and see what I can do.

Edit: DOH! I forgot about the HTC Volume Control dll. Geez...

okay, so i have been trying to just change out some of the icons that i like. dont get me wrong, the new tskbr is great, but i just wanna use some of the icons from the set that wasnt used. i am using an older version of the taskbar, but i wanna use the new voicemail icon, and a few other notificaion icons.

now i have read and read and read the first posts on how to do this:lurk:, (which means nursememewhatever, dont bite my head off like u do others). :violent1:

i dont understand exactly what i am supposed to do. i have gotten outres.192.dll. i copied it from my phone to my sdcard and onto my pc. so from my pc, i unsigned the file and opened it in resourcehacker. but from there, i am confused as to what icons to change.

it seems that this file contains more icons then just the notification ones. i know everyone is asked this all the time, but i am stumped.

plus i had tried doing this once b4 when i wanted to change out my start icon, but when i tried changing the icon to one provided on the 1st page, it told me the file size was to large, will this happen with the ones that were posted on page 49...i think that was the page. the icons that were not used in the latest set.

i really dont wanna give up on this like i did when i wanted to change the start orb

Its easy bro first take the file you want to edit and drag and drop it on the unsigner to unsign the security certificate in the dll (if not you will corrupt it). Now download PE Explorer it has a 30 day free trial. Use PE Explorer to open up the dll by double clicking the dll. Up top in PE Explorer Click View then click resources. On the left hand side you will click + Sign on the Icon Entry. THis will expand the tree and you will see numbers if you click the numbers it will bring up the icons. Once you have the icon you want to edit right click that number and then edit resource. Up top click the folder icon which will bring up a window for you to navigate to the icon you want on your computer. One your done then click OK which will bring you back to where you were. Continue to do this until all the icons you want are replaced then click save. Now you just need to resign the dll using the method on the first page and then place it into your /Windows Directory on your phone using the method on the first page and then soft reset. Hope this helps. I should make a YouTube video eh? haha.....

Hey all,

first of all I have to thank Tsowen and the rest of the crew for the all their work. The new taskbar is great.
I've got an issue what I just can't solve.
The bluetooth icons don't show up in my taskbar.
I've the bmp from the taskbar in my \windows folder but they won't show when bluetooth is active/connected.
Who knows the answer?

Any ideas?

Try to install sdkcerts again, I am not sure why a couple of you are getting these permission errors, also are you stock or custom ROM, is your phone locked or unlocked and are you GSM or CDMA?

Just an observation, the "big" taskbar icons (that pop up when i touch the mini taskbar) are very pixelated, is that because I'm using a HTC HD?

Yes, my man GadgetFreak is working on this and will be included in the next update with the speakers from taskbar 5 and a different battery for those who want it.

So these are the two previous batterie versions that we used and will not take long to fix the taskbar. Now PM me which version you like best or you can say you want something new and are willing to wait.

Also a little FYI for those who are in a rush to change out there's make sure you go through ALL of the dll's because some images are in other dll's such as the speakers and others. Its not as simple as I will just thrown in this new pchanOverbmp.dll and get a new battery because you have now just changed your speakers, WiFi and other icons. Someone did this already and PM'd me saying there taskbar was broke because they installed another pchanOverbmp.dll thinking it would just change the battery.

1. Your Phone (HTC Touch Pro or whatever this will also tell us if your QVGA, VGA or WVGA)
2. Your Current ROM (Stock or MightMike 4.7 or whatever)
3. The Taskbar you have installed (tsowentaskbar5v1.7 or whatever)
4. GSM or CDMA
5. Any additional software you are running such as Wisebar or SPB Mobile Shell or anything to this effect. (Some users have reported problems with these two software)
6. The nature of your problem in detail such as I unistalled tsowentaskbar3 and sdkcerts. I then re-installed sdkcerts, tsowentaskbar 6 and nuepowerdriver. I agree with you and I remember the reason we changed it was it was too small, when you add a drop shadow and % above the icon, the battery itself becomes small. You have to remember folks you are dealing with an icon that is 32x32. He is also right you are looking at a blown up version of the batteries. This was the reason with switched the battery to vertical and placed the % in the battery itself. Just to give credit where its due the first one was created by sunnyboymarcel at XDA and Hawaianpunchman edited it and the second was made by horstborsch at XDA with his lovely icon set.

Just for kicks, I deleted almost everything on my voicemail to make sure there was nothing that might be giving a false trigger. Any ideas?

I haven't noticed that but if you just click 'dismiss' it will stay in the taskbar. I have noticed that if I delete or hang up to quickly the icon won't go away. I listen again but you already did that. so... to get rid of it, open phone, go to options, services, voicemail, get services, and click clear. fixed! :)

Ahh....my bad also if you install that cab as I mentioned you need to replace the battery icons in the LargeTitleBar as well since it will have the old battery icons. Also any other icons located in the phcanOverbmp.dll such as speaker, WiFi, searching for service, and if your GSM all your network icons.

I know tsowen is going to incorporate it in his taskbar, but if you really can't wait for it then here you go...
