Re: iPhone WAD2 QVGA Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

I was kind of ready to throw the towel in since I'm not very knowledgeable with WAD. I'm glad I played around a little longer!
I love this theme! I know some people might hate the iPhone, but it is the easiest and best looking theme out there for any phone.
Once you figure out how to modify it to your liking, it is AWESOME!
I have four pages so far and they all side scroll to each other. I have a speed dial page with little iphone icons of their photos using the transparent icon. Throw in some gestures and it is fast and flawless to work with! The calendar icon displays the day. The weather icon displays the conditions and temp. The clock icon is an actual working clock!
I am using and loving this, and I'm still a noob!

Thanks Torx!

Re: iPhone WAD2 QVGA Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

The landscape version displays incorrectly on my Verizon Omnia... it does have a non-standard resolution at 400px long, but the Default WAD2" theme looks fine in Landscape... everything is updated / stretched accordingly...

Is this theme just hardcoded to a specific resolution??

Anyone seeing this issue with the Omnia?

Thanks

Man, thinking about it now, i bet this THEME would look F*CKING NICE on the TOUCH HD, but i do not think it will work on it. Hmm, if i can get my hands on a TOUCH HD soon, I will try it out on it since i have purchased the WAD

How did you get pictures on the transparent icons?

I took the time to modify the Landscape theme to fit the Omnia... wasn't that difficult... looks great.

Thanks again Torx!

Re: iPhone WAD2 QVGA Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

Hello everyone,

I'm a first time caller, long time listener here and I've got a modest question. I don't have internet capabilities and all that jib-jab, and I would like to use a nice sleek theme like this, but don't need all the bells and whistles. I'm basically a minimalist. If you would excuse my poor photoshopping abilities (it's 2am), I would like to propose my idea for a minimalist iPhone skin:

Would it be possible to have the signal bar be the start button as well? If not, perhaps just move the signal to the other side and use a blank black target in the upper left corner. Again, I could care less about weather, maps, and whathaveyou, I just want to know if its even possible to do something like this before I bend over backwards in order to make this happen...

Sincerely,
Nick Grow

Goto "Author Mode", then press and hold and select "New", "Speed Dial".
Then choose "Contact Name", Choose your contact, make sure "Display contact picture" is selected", select "Image Properties", Select "Use custom image size", Make Width = 42 and Height = 41. Hit Done. Do not create a text for this item. Hit Done Again.

Move it into position.

Now press and hold, select "New", "Button".
For "Normal Image Path", use the folder "Blank_Icons" and choose "blank_glass". Hit OK.
For "Pressed Image Path", use the folder "Blank_icons" and choose "blank_glass_p". Hit OK.
Pess "Edit script". "Command to Insert" = "Phone - Call a phone number". Add the phone number you want. Hit done. Hit done again.
Select "Text". Select "Display Text", Under "Text to display", add the name of the contact. Hit done. Hit done again.
Now move this button over the picture you created. It may take some fudging to place both of them in the right position. Just make sure the glass icon is on top when you are done.
Exit Author Mode.

I hope that helps.
