s2w lucid theme, lucid GT and Lucid D revised on 2nd post, Lucid Simplicity on 3rd post

"Moddifying Lucid Theme"

*To those who link this theme on other sites, please be considerate and post the link of this thread from the original source here at ppcgeeks. So that your members can have an insight to any helpful updates to the s2w Luicd theme. Respect is truly appreciated... and always give credit where is due. I feel elated in being part of the creative process and that you have chosen s2w Lucid. Thank you and enjoy.*

s2w Lucid is an expansion from the blackdrop theme. Its more versatile and as with blackdrop, it runs smooth without too much taken from device. I created this theme and tested for the Sprint HTC touch.

A worthy note before installing, you need the following:

Rltoday
Ultimate Launch
HHC (music and sound profile)
Weatherpanel
Today Agenda(its what I am using in my theme)
http://freewareppc.com/utilities/todayagenda.shtml
DciNoBar (for hiding bottom bar)
psshutXP (optional)

Included within the theme are simple instructions made easy to install.

As with Blackdrop... you can add in this version any background as it blends with the theme. So be creative.

Hope you enjoy and any feed back would be appreciated, thanks.

* On the home page, I kept the current settings I have where the HTC logo opens the comm manager and the home tab opens file explorer.
When I get the chance I will work on the home page more. Thought I give you guys a chance to try it out.

s2w lucid D Revised
http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...nshot_16-2.pnghttp://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...enshot_2-5.pnghttp://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...nshot_15-1.png

* The music page displays the sound profile that works as meant, but when you swipe your finger upwards
you activate WMP, and when you swipe downwards you activate S2P.

What you need

Rltoday
Ultimate Launch
HHC (music and sound profile)
Weatherpanel
s2p
DciNoBar (for hiding bottom bar)
psshutXP

Things to keep in mind: (also in the read me)

-> You have to place the "s2w lucd D - tabs" folder -> in my documents so UL can detect them.

-> Place the included "config setting " -> in the UL folder for setup.

-> You have to place the "s2w lucid D - skin" -> in Rltoday folder

-> If you want the music page to work as I have it in my theme you have to place the included folders "s2w music d" and "s2w no icons" -> in HHC as stated within the readme instruction and have s2p installed.

-> Use the background included to display the upper tabs correctly on the device.

* Bottom tabs update coming soon...

s2w lucid theme - Simplicity

http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...simplicity.png

As the title states simplicity... for those who prefer straying away from the xmls setups, like Rltoday and others apps. Here you have a basic setup that looks pleasant and overall smooth.

Things you need already installed in your device:

HTCHome (not HHC Home Customizer)
Ultimate Launcher
Weather panel
s2p

that simply...

http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...plicitys2w.png

*Update 8/8/08*
I posted below the s2w Simplicity red velvet.... during the weekend I will post the others.

Hope you enjoy and tell me what you think.

It should work... make sure that the only item checked after following the instructions in "read me" is Ultimate launch on the item's list of the today setting

Double check that s2w lucid skin is the theme for Rltoday and the s2w lucid theme folder is in my documents and the config settings in the Ultimate folder.

Thanks for the comment.

let me know if you got it.

Thanks... the xxx will set once you have a missed call. Than all should be ok. Top bar you can try UItweaker but, it will just make it flat black. Although it looks good with the flat black. I had it before and will again set it on mines.

Enjoy.

Thanks alot!!! Yes that could be easily fixed all you have to do is locate the path to your "program" whether exe or link and edit it in the xml. I have it by category so its simple.

Enjoy!

I looked at the XML you included and I didn't find anywhere to edit that pprogram stuff. I just saw where it looked like RLTODAY was a plugin inside UL?

This is what you will look for in the lucid skin for Rltoday. It should be at the bottom. Just change the path where I highlight with bold.

Code:

!-- Programs -->
<Text text="Programs" x="25" y="175" alignment="Left" color="RGB(0, 0, 0)" >
    <Font size="16" weight="normal" font="Tahoma" />
</Text>
<Image x="2" y="175" source="title pane.png">
    <OnClick File="\Windows\HTCPrograms.exe" />
</Image>

S2W Im tring to change the comm manger in the RL today skin to device lock do you know where the exe is located at. I check the windows folder but no luck. This is for the titan.

This skin is great.

Re: s2w Lucid theme

hey CHUBBZ, I use the s2u2 so I never tampered with the internal device lockof wm, but to my understanding isn't it located here:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\ "Device Lock"]

I haven't teste that path yet so don't hold me accountable for that path... I will have to ask rainfreak and see if he suggest anything since he has a titan.

I knew where the reg was located but when I just use the reg it just blinks and does not lock the phone.
Guess I need to find where the today plugin is located in order to make it work.
Thanks

The contacts should work. It does on mine and in the rlToday skin.xml file it is setup to use "\windows\start menu\contacts.lnk"

Unless you changed your Start Menu, it should work. If not, browse your \Windows\Start Menu\ folder with File Explorer (on your device). Once you find the Contact.lnk file, open the skins.xml found in the \Program Files\rlToday\s2w Lucid Theme\ folder with Pocket Word and change that line to match the full path that you found in File Explorer.

I remember looking for that once too, before I started using S2U2. This is what I found at XDA, when I was looking before:

I don't think there's an executable file that you can create a shortcut to. If I remember correctly the device lock has something to do with the DLL file shutil.dll. And that may be different if you sync with an Exchange server since that can change your password / lock requirements (presumably the DLL too).

A couple of easy options would be to just install a utility that will screen lock the device and/or put it in standby. If they're installed (or you create a shortcut in your \Windows\Start Menu folder) they will show up in the list for button assignment. Take a look at VJDeviceLock or pLock. The former has some command line switches that you can set. I think there are some others floating around in the forums also if you search Google ("device lock" site:forum.xda-developers.com).

Also, Check in \Windows and see if you have DeviceLock.cps (or something like that). You can create a shortcut to that in the folder mentioned above, and that could work for you also. Might need to open the CPL file first so it behaves as you want it to.

Sorry chubbz, been busy and tried to look that up but it seem like I can't figure it out yet. I will keep trying though.

I made an alternative using the s2u2 method. Here is a sample below. If intrested let me know.

Thanks rain for helping.

BTW, it doesn't have to be in the white version I will also have it in the clear black version as well.
