Nope, you're not the only one. I've since taken it and Mobile Shell off my phone. Quite frankly I find this theme drab. Black with no real color.

Well I mean, Mobile Shell is somewhat limited to be able to imitate the Manilla interface. But there are alot of people working on different ways to imitate the interface. Give it some time

Re: Diamond Theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1

For the life of me, I can't get this theme to work. I've moved the Files and Fonts folders where they are supposed to go twice, and yet my screen is still unlike what it should look like. Would me having one of Vetvito's Mobile themes on my phone have anything to do with it not working?

Re: Diamond Theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1

Hey guys and gals,

I been following some of XDA's greatbal's work on the diamond. It is truly awesome and all credit goes to him.

One thing that I liked was the addition of three 4x4 contact pages for a total of 48 contacts. The only problem is that I don't have that many friends. LOL. So, I've taken a crash course in learning how he is doing his stuff. After 12 revisions, I have come up with three 3x3 contact pages for a total of 27 contacts. The contact pictures are also bigger than on the original one for those of us with large fingers.

I've included a thumb so that you can see what it looks like.

To install:

make a copy of your qa_layouts.dat file on your device located in the mobile shell directory and extract and copy the attached dat file over. Soft reset.

If you don't like it, copy the original qa_layouts.dat back and soft reset.

Once installed, choose the contacts icon and move your finger from right to left to see the next screen.

I am working on the landscape portion of this. Just a matter of time.

enjoy.

RW

Edit - uploaded new zip file so that all you have to do is extract the .DAT file and copy to your phone.

Re: Diamond Theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1

Oh man nobody told it it was the "now" screen.

Sheesh, I was dumb founded for like 3 days.

Is there a way the "now" screen can always stay open, it seems like it closes easily or if i make a phone call it closes back again.

Re: Diamond Theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1

There is an option on the first settings page to go back to the Now screen after activation. Still can't get it to work on my Treo. Sucks.

I think there's something on XDA for that but I can't remember exactly where it was

Re: Diamond Theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1

So after I close an app I have to open the screen?

That kind of messes up the fluidness (or as George W would say Fluninity) of the app.

If I find it on XDA, I'll bring it over. I saw it last night
