s2w Blackdrop HTC is a theme I created and tested for the Sprint HTC touch. It may be a simple layout for some, in comparison to the many exciting themes here, but this style suits my needs and I thought I share it...

Included within the theme are simple instructions. Also an important note of interest you need RLtoday and UL.

****Buttons****
The 5 buttons seen are skinned to RLtoday and are active, just simply tap on it, and it opens an app. I currently have my preference, so the icons open; file explorer, internet, programs, ultimate launch settings and music. Tapping on the clock opens the alarm settings and the Date opens the calendar.

These buttons are just an added feature I included through "Rltoday". You can also create as many tabs which you swipe within "Ultimate Launch".

But In my theme instead of having all these tabs showing in UL either by icons or text wording of your content within a tab, you just swipe left or right to view your apps and make as many as you want without all those tabs visible.

Its just a different and simple way of using UL.

*****Update s2w blackdrop theme 6/6/2008*****
Added the updated rltoday skin for the new layout of the theme. Now you can add any background to your today screen and the s2w blackdrop will blend to the image. The main pic above gives you an example. Also there are several posted in this thread.

****keep in mind****
If you are a first time user of this theme you will have to download the HTC blackdrop update 12hr and follow the easy instructions on the readme file included.

Hope you enjoy the update and any comments would be much appreciated.

Unfortunely you will need both to take advantage of the current theme.

If you are thinking about installing those programs... I do have easy step of instructions on the read me file in the themes cab on how to go about using and correctly installing the theme.

I can't get HTC Home to set as transparent. I download the transparent background from the app. Why isn't it setting it transparent?

You need to copy the included "s2w htc weather" folder into the HHC icons folder. Then go to HHc setup and choose "s2w htc weather" in appearance, as well as the transparent in bg. You have to also go to the tab section of HHC and make inactive all the options except for weather. That should work.

I did that and it still isn't transparent. It's i guess u would say semi. But in apperance on HHC is Icons: S2W htc weather BG: Transparent Clock: Original also weather is original. Is something wrong? What is my theme supposed to be. I have the picture set as the one in the zip but my theme is jsut the standard green theme. Does that matter?

Can you upload a screenshot of how it looks.

As you stated, you have the appearance setting right, But did you go to the tabs section in HHC and moved all inactive except for weather? Also did you place the htc blackdrop bg as your background?

Ok I found a program. This is what it looks like. Also the XXX for missed calls won't go away for some reason. It appeared right before I soft restarted the device.

Hmmmm.... I placed "Htc blackdrop bg in the themes folder in documents and on the options I set it as the background.

I have the touch, so I am not sure what you have. I uninstalled the theme and its content and reinstalled and it works find. I will have to look into it further.

I have the mogul. And as far as I know to set the background u go under "Today" which is under settings. Also The transparent seems to work fine with out a back ground picture. But I can't really tell.

Ok I see what is happening... go back to "set as today background" Set the transparency level to zero. that should work.

The green color on the bars could easily be changed with UItweaker.

Once you install it you go to program find the app then go to "tdyscheme changer" and launch it then click on "WM 5 and above" and click on "use black bars... and there you go...

I am sorry I should of just created a tsk for the background will be in my next update. But that should work.

That worked. Just FYI: with the mogul I had to open the picture in "pictures and video" and set the picture to the background that way. That's the only way the tranparency level thing will come up. Thanks a lot for you help. But tow more thing really. If you look at the screen shot. How do I fix the "XXX's" also for some reason one of these three programs is causing my battery bar at the top to be all jumbled?

A soft reset should take care of the XXX on the miss calls.

it seems if i actually put htc home on the today scree.(not inside of UL) then i can out my city in, but if i put Htc home inside of UL, then only canadian cities show up ,and it will not let me search for my city. I have went thru HHC and loaded my city in there and it shows up, but once I put it back inside of UL, the same thing happens...any advice?

Make sure that on the weather tab in HTC home customizer in the database type: you have "default" selected and in the appreance tab you have "original" selected in weather. And when making any changes to HHC always uncheck Rltoday and UL from the list at the today settings. When done with HHC you go back and check them on again. Once you have that set, you can normally select the city from the weather screen without problems. Hope that helps.

Yes UI Tweaker will change the top and bottom bar pitch black or any color you desire. Its a great program for that.

Thats odd. It should be there. In any case here it is.

Just drop "s2w htc weather" in your HHC icons folder and follow the instructions I have in "read me". Keep in mind that any changes you make in the HHC settings, you will have to first uncheck RLtoday and Ul from the list in the today settings and check them back once done.

Before exiting the home settings, go to Rltoday options and on the general tab go to
skins and choose HTC Blackdrop.

(First time using Rltoday just install cab on the device and then copy the HTc
blackdrop theme in the same folder.)

No matter what I do, all I see is 'default'

I can't seem to choose 'htc blackdrop' in the drop down menu in that part

Currently, I am working on my version of the HTC Diamond, Its not quite the same as the original, but Im not going for that. So for those who enjoyed my theme... this is coming soon. If you have my setup, all you have to do is copy the theme to Rltoday.

Success100 this is a sample of the clockface I am working on. As you can see It sort flips. Took me a bit to create and not exactly like the diamond but its still a work in progress. I also don't want to completely emulate it to a T, but give it a bit of my touch.

BTW the "S" "2" "W" on it now, won't be there in the completed version lol.

I updated the black theme a bit. I also wanted to add that in UL you can place other tabs with different programs, just keep the included settings as is, (in read me file) and provide no tab icons to keep the look. Just swipe left or right and UL will work normal. I only suggest this if you want more than just having the weather displayed.

Any comments will be much appreciated. It would be nice, so I know if I should keep updating or adding new themes. Thank you.

I have the HTC Touch and I was wondering if these programs and the theme slow down the phone at all..Like when you use the cube or clicking on the screen is there a lag/delay...?..Because I want the theme and I think its sick..
