iPhone Theme for PPC
2 Attachment(s)
This is just nuts.
Credit goes to hanmin over at XDA (and to codyppc for bringing it up at TC) I'm posting just about everything you need: cLaunch, cLaunch icons and PhoneAlarm Skin (though you'll need to get PhoneAlarm yourself). http://www.winmobiletech.com/kuvat/iPhoneWM5.jpg |
cool, so I have to ask will this work on the Treo 750v square screen?
|
 im drooling!!! If you can get that to work on the 700w/wx/v please let me know!!!! that looks soo sick, its just so....clean!

I'm not familiar with cLaunch but from playing with I couldn't figure out to set it up on a 240x240 screen.
Theoretically, the settings are stored in a single file so I think it could be setup on a 6700 and transfered to 700/750. If anyone wants to volunteer to figure it out, go ahead. I'm using the PhoneAlarm skin now, which is quite nice. It'd be neat if someone could modify the 2nd image (alarm image) so that when an alarm goes off it flashes red. (cough, cough, wowthatisrandom, cough, lol) Right now they just change the counter. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...creen007-1.png |
details
I need the instructions for this download. I am new to this so please help
|
You can configure cLaunch for any any height. I just got this all setup. Thanks for sharing this. Too bad the program can't export the settings so that I can share with everyone.
One thing I wish someone can fix is PhoneAlarm skin. Instead of the settings icon, i wish the icon could bring up the profile switcher. Only thing left is to find the background and the color theme |

lol, that was a lot of posts 99accordv6!
cLauncher is a pain to setup. It's all manual: this is the name of the program, this is where it is, this is the icon, I want it here... Takes forever. Upside is it's free and highly configurable. |

99accord,
Hey for some reason I am having a lot of trouble with this. I got phone alarm but am a little confused as to how to use it with custom skins, would you be able to walk me through how you got iphone on there? Thanks PH |

What size did you set the icons to in clauncher? I've increased the size but they are very pixelated. |

Whats up perfect hybrid? Yeah I can write up a quick DIY .. BUT This is how I did my setup and other members might have done this differently than me .. This is the 99accordv6 way =P I dont have phone alarm so I just used the theme with the icons on my today screen and they look awesome . My icons would have been bigger but I kept the date up at the top of the screen but here is some thing you can try out .. -I first cleared all the items off of my today screen -Click on settings for the iphone theme and under the icon tab i have these settings ... -Icon Size = 25 [you should try 30 for bigger icons] -Icon name enable [checked] width = 70 -Icon name at bottom [checked] height = 30 -Click on the margins tab -Icon Margins = Horizontal = 4 , Vertical = 4 -Window Marins = Left = 1, Right = 1, Top = 0, Bottom = 0 -Maybe Skin and then Background Bitmap is where you install the phone alarm carbon fiber skin? [Help us out Mike! =)] -Click OK -Then click on Options at the bottom -Then click the Main Tab -I only have Main checked -Then click on System tab -cLaunch height = 200 [You can maybe try 300] -The only settings I have checked is Setting Icon Enable and Arrow Icons Enable. -Then click on the Tab tab -I have Tab set to fix width checked -Tab width = 10 -Check tab with line wrap around. -Click on OK Now .. To add icons to your today screen .. -Click the ADD tab -Under the NAME field I typed in Phone -Under FILE PATH click the box with the three ... -After you click go into WINDOWS/Start Menu/Phone.lnk [I could find the Phone.exe. Usually for like the camera file path you can find Camera.exe under WINDOWS] -After that you click on Change Icon and then again the box with the ... and look for where you saved the Iphone icons at .. I saved my icons in a new folder name Iphone Icons [DUH] in the Program files folders on my phone and NOT my storage card. -Find the PHONE icon, click and click on OK After that you can add all the other icons you want too on your today screen . PLEASE NOTE - This has been done on a PPC 6700 I do not know if my settings will work on a Treo or other phones . Like Malatesta [Mike] said .. This theme is very customizable so you have to work around the settings and check your today screen every now and then. Hope this DIY isnt too long and hard but we'll see everyones results later on =] Here is my end result .. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...CapScr0001.jpg Thanks for taking time to read this writeup .. Tony |
99,
Hey instructions look good, but I can't get the theme to load. I am not sure which file would be the theme or where I would need to put it all themes I've had before were all cab file themes. Haha so baby steps would work well with me. Thanks Paul |
Neeevermind, I think I may have figured it out I'm gonna go play around with it some more.

For settings I used the .exe for the CommManager |

Which files are you talking about? The .exe files are in File Explorer/Windows The files for the icons you have to upzip onto your device |

Quote:
Like I said .. Its in the .Zip File in the first post .. Just download it and use Zip or Total Commander to get the file extracted to your device It should be under the folder iPhone icons Holla if you need more help =] Tony |

I'm having a problem with clauncher not recovering from landcape mode. Sometimes it won't switch back and other times it will but several icons are missing.
Anyone else seeing this? |

-Click on settings for the iphone theme and under the icon tab i have these settings ... Also attached is a telenav icon I made... Now... here are the things that are buggin me... 1) How do I get rid of the rotate screen icon and phone utility that is in the lower right of the screen cap. 2) How do I get the background to show up on phoneAlarm? Yeah, I know it looks like it's there, but what it really is - is a theme I made for my PPC. (Background from that theme attached) |
