Question HTC Today screen WITHOUT any of the 6 icons

Greetings, and Happy Holidays to all!

I'm wondering if there is a way to simply remove ALL of the 6 icons at the bottom of the HTC Home Today screen, yet KEEP the digital clock AND the three message icons (you know, the "missed email, IM and Phone calls" images).

I'm a disaster mitigation specialist, as well as firefighter and medic... and often use our XV6700 - with Touch Commander set to activate when we simply depress the #5 key. That's fine when we're on a medical call and just wearing rubber gloves, but when we are wearing gauntlet-style gloves, this makes one-handed use... while on a fire or rescue scene - harder. (as you can imagine!)

I don't need the rest of the bells and whistles... just the basic HTC Home - with the clock and message buttons.

Any feedback would be MOST helpful!

Thank you for your time and consideration, and look forward to your reply.

You can't remove the home icon, it will always be there. The rest can be taken out with HTC Home Customizer. If you remove all 6 the home always comes back.

I made an rlToday skin of exactly what you are talking about if you are interested. It has LCD clock and the date and just the 3 indicators.

If you want just the Home screen on the HCT Home plug, just install the HTC Home Customizer, set it up for 1 tab, and then download and use the 'transparent' icon set. The transparent icon set still has the indicator icons, but just not the bottom ones. Only thing is, you will still lose the sapce that the icons would have occupied. It looks better with the GuzuGuzu background or transparent background, as the button area is transparent.

Better even, there are plenty of phone alarm skins that have just the clock and indicators.

Get rlToday. You can find skins that mimic HTC Homeplug without the bottom 6 buttons. I got tired of the Homepug taking up so much space as well as the memory it required and use rlToday myself.

Their are a few phoneAlarm skins too. My favorite is the newest one done by Jinks, it is called Jinksclock.
