I love what Sprint did with it. Getting rid of the chrome was genius, all it ends up doing is getting scratched and looking horrible. It also looked too much like an iPhone with that chrome ring around it. The Sprint version looks sleeker, I don't even mind the back at all, then again I couldn't care less what the back looks like anyway.

I can't wait for this phone to hit Sprint!

I know "each to their own" apply here but I really am baffled as to how many people actually like the Sprint back cover.

I could understand not caring but "liking it" is...? :scratch:

Well I like the GSM version. My TP looks fine. I keep mine in the case that it came wtih and it looks fine. I don't have any chipping chrome. Besides the chrome on the TP isn't even all over. The back cover is of a different color and material. As for this leaked image of what the TP2 will look like on Sprint I certainly hope not, but then again why should I care I am not ready to upgrade anyway. I spent way too much money on this phone only 6 months ago to go and do it all over again. I will hold on to my TP for a while.

On a side note, I hope this thing looks better in person than in pics, because I've been watching those Youtube vids on the TP2..no lag with keyboard...snappy "seeming" OS...mmm, this thing seems right (gsm). Man, I was gonna go with the Treo Pro, but now I may just eBay one, and use my upgrade on either an Omnia variant (hopefully) or this (please god, let Sprint make this thing less o0gly, lol)

I like the sprint tp2 better just because of the mostly black look of the phone which is more professional. But I'm a sucker for a all black phone anyway *shrugs*

At least the back cover is a matte finish. You won't have to wipe the back for fingerprints, like you do the TP and the Diamond. The front, however.....

People stop crying like a baby because the Sprint touch pro 2 back cover is ugly. What I will do is buy the Unlocked Touch Pro 2 back cover and switch it from that ugly sprint back cover? The body is same size has the Unlocked Htc touch pro 2.

Am I smart ;)

The Sprint version is an abomination that looks like it should be in the Nextel-branded lineup rather than aimed at mobile professionals. Shame on whoever let their 3 year-old child with a burnt-orange crayon play with the design sheets before they were sent to manufacturing!
