That was one of my biggest gripes when the Iphone came out (beside the already standing hatred against Macitosh Nazi Advertising and love for my vx6700 at the time) was the fact that you had to get it on AT&T and it used slow edge network. Plus they had a plan you had to have with the iphone that was like 140 bucks a month. It was crazy pethetic. That deal with AT&T should have never happened.

My Buddy and I are always trading punches when it comes to my Diamond and his Iphone. I do have an Ipod Touch so I can definitely say that the Apple products are nice..but, once I showed my good friend how I could start up WMWifiRouter and run his laptop at near broadband speed, well he was sold. Game over.

Just imagine how many iphones there would be out there if you could get them on either Sprint or Verizon service. There are tons of them around anyway, but there would be an awful lot more out there if you weren't forced to use ATT service to get one........

Heck, if you could use one on VZ I would have both an iphone & my TouchPro's.........

This thread is really just a collection of all our insecurities about the iPhone. Does it really matter that much?

Bottom line is that the iPhone is fine and WMO phones are fine too. It's personal preference.

Thank you. That's the word I was looking for. Are you that insecure about buying the Touch Pro that you have to find ways to bash the iphone? In my opinion, comparing the TP to the iPhone is like comparing it to the instinct. The iphone is a great PHONE that can do alot of cool useless things. The Touch Pro is a pocket PC which also functions as a phone. Personally, if an overpriced plan wasn't required, i'd probably have an iphone but WinMo is more targeted towards a business user with it's abilities to do pretty much what a windows computer can do while the iphone is targeted at any average person who wants a cool gadget. TP vs iPhone is Apples vs. Oranges

umm skyfire rocks dude you should try it....havent found a website that doesnt look right with it...and plays all streaming videos....o and if i remember right it loaks anywhere form 40 to 50% faster than safari and opera.....

While I agree that there are SOME people that are a likely a little insecure, a lot of other people probably just like to show off what their devices can do that other devices cannot. Its that simple. No need to get all Dr. Phil

Some people buy gadgets partially so they can show people that they have this and here is what it can do and you can't possibly do that with what you have... so there!

I have been using Skyfire since day one, but I am not a big fan of it.

When I use the TP instead of the touch, I use Opera Mini which blows away Skyfire in every way unless you need flash IMHO

Personally, I think this whole thread is pretty stupid. Both the TP & the iphone have their advantages & it's like comparing apples & oranges IMHO
