The phone was fine but with apple locking it down apps were only available web based. What if your getting a bad signal, or even in a location with poor coverage. I don't want the speed of my apps based on my data speed.
I'll be that having the webOS won't really be a problem after a little while. At first it'll be a challenge, but i'm sure that with all the web programmers out there someone will be able to write a simple emulator for the phone to run all kinds of apps. I'm thinking about the future for this new os, it's gonna have some growing pains, but i think this os has huge potential. It's just needs time and patience.

Re: Sprint Users Is anyone Keeping their Diamond when the Palm Pre is released

I came from a Palm M100, Palm IIIC, Palm Treo 650, then I went to a Crappy Mogul...

If you would have asked me "would you switch?" a couple of months ago before I got my Diamond, I would say "hell yeah" as Palm treated me pretty good (I just wished they updated their OS, which is why I switched), and the Mogul sucked.

But now with TF3D and the speed of the Diamond, well, I gotta say I'll watch this one on the sidelines.

Good luck to Palm though.

Why would I give up my $30/mo SERO for a Pre?

Nobody knows that you will have to give it up yet.

Oh and i work for Verizon lol .I would pass on the first Palm Pre. Os is not going to be able to be broken down like WInmo, Android, Apple...Becasue it will be with a exclusive carrier for now. So limited guros to make it fly.... So you will be bored out your mind. Right? Becasue you dont buy the phone to make phone calls...if that was the case ppcgeeks would be of no use.
