Re: Anyone switched from Touch to Touch Pro through insurance?

hi all, i believe the screen on my vogue is breaking because when the backlight is off and i look at it from the side most of the screen is a trippy sworly color pattern. i have heard that this is the liquid in the lcd coming up or moving or something. would this be considered a factory defect???

(btw, like everyone else i would love a diamond)

I actually had the same thing you are talking about, it was a rectangle like 1"X2" in the middle area, looked just like oil on water looks, all swirly and colored.

It seemed to me like the layers of the screen were separating, when you pressed on it, it made it change. Under certain fluorescent lights in white rooms it was really noticeable and under other lights you could hardly see it. It was exchanged under TEP.

I agree that people shouldnt use the TEP program for upgrades. But ever since I got my Touch in March I've just had bad luck with it. I already had mine replaced 3 times and each time I have a pretty big problem. My original one froze all the time. 2nd one couldnt make any connections and they couldnt even transfer my contacts. 3rd one had problems with activesync. And the one I have now used to drop calls every single day no matter with whom or where, but its a little bit better since I put 6.1 on. And I used to have the issues even after hard resetting each of the phones, and soft resetting almost every day. Anyways, what I mean to say is they kept giving me messed up refurbs and refussed to replace it with a new Touch (Not Diamond or Pro). So I finally called sprint directly and the person I spoke to felt bad and offered to swap to the Diamond even before it was released, but once it came out no one was willing to do so, so I finally gave. I guess I'll just have to settle with a slightly messed up phone that I payed $250 dollars for, not to mention the $7 a month for insurance.

i bricked my phone, brought it in, and got a new one. theres no way a sprint tech can fix it.

load the wrong software on it. there is no way that a srpint employee at one of the stores can fix it.

In other words he is saying to commit insurance fraud. Which is illegal and morally wrong.
