Re: Recommend me a PDA!
Apparently you're having a difficult time reading. Verizon branded GPS apps work fine. Any non-Verizon branded GPS apps require 3rd party workarounds. I'll refer back to the Wikipedia document:
However, this release blocks A-GPS access to all but applications which have been digitally signed by Verizon Wireless. Currently this is only VZ Navigator. Verizon has said that they will digitally sign other applications[2], and hackers have released a software patch which bypasses the limitation[3 |

I don't really need physical keyboard so all I need is GPS, Stylus, and music capacity, so if HTC Vogue support it should be all set. |

Re: Recommend me a PDA!
If I purchase Vogue from Verizon and then gonna screw arround with it
and try to install the GPS software, and it doesn't work or be really crappy, can I return it to Verizon? Btw where do you go to install the software? And how is the GPS software experience compared to TomTom? Also I'm wondering when I purchase Vogue do I have to mandatory sign up for some data plan? Cos I don't need to go on the internet from it, all I need is GPS, stylus and music and phone obviously. Also I wonder Does the Vogue allow me to scribble notes into it and then save it for later, and then I can read my own notes, so it's like digi - notepad? Can you install 3d party on Vogue? Can you do the remote PC from it (like if I want to play Crysis thru my desktop on Vogue) and if it's going to cost me some additional charges? Also if you compare Vogue and iphone which 1 is better? I don't want iphone cos it doesn't support Verizon and also cos you can't scribble notes in it (there's not much notetaking you can do with finger lol) also cos it's only mac software and you can't get 3d party. Re: Recommend me a PDA!
What you need to do is go the the Vogue forum and read, read, read. You will find all of the information you need there. I understand you're a consumer trying to make an educated purchase, but repeatedly asking the same questions isn't going to get you as far as digging in and searching for the info you desire. As far as returning phones, most providers give you a 30 day window where you can swap to a different device. Happy searching/reading.

Yes, verizon will take a phone back & no, a data plan is not mandatory. I went for a few months using a 6800 without a data plan & just connecting to wifi hotspots. Of course that is not an option with the 6900 as it does not have wifi. ~John |
