Need help making a decision Sprint Touch or Mogul?

Sooo if you read my previous thread, back from the iPhone, you'll know I recently had a stint with the iPhone. Previous to that I purchased an HTC Mogul and a HTC Touch. Back then when I left, I had been using the Touch because of what I heard about RAM. I did some searching on the forums and couldn't really get a consensus on which is really the better device.

So I have a couple comparison questions on the two devices:

1. Battery life - I know the Mogul has more MAH but the Touch's battery seemed to perform better. Has this changed?

2. RAM / Performance - I know the Touch has more ram but does this really affect real world performance? What is the consensus?

3. Keyboard / Lack thereof - I currently have Cootek's TouchPal on the Touch and it is passable, the problem is the touch screen isn't too sensitive. Is there a consensus on whether or not the Touch is viable as an input device?

4. Everyone seemed to be leaning toward the Touch being the better device, but when I look at these forums, and XDA Developers, it seems that the Titan has far more users.

Bottom line, should I use the Touch or the Mogul? the iPhone is going back

If you search through the Phone Comparison Forum you'll not that there are plenty of threads that discuss Mogul vs Touch, Touch vs Mogul.

I'm sure you can find many answers to your questions in one of them.

late,
Coz

Re: Need help making a decision Sprint Touch or Mogul?

I had both.
I loved the Mogul for the battery life and the slide out keyboard.
I love the Touch for the small size, the RAM, and it being a more of a touch device.

I don't really experience a bad battery life with my Touch. I have the QWERTY Diamond keyboard (found it on this site) installed on the Touch and it works perfectly for me.

What it comes down to is what you feel you are going to be using mostly on the phone and determine you needs based on that.

You can also go to www.phonescoop.com to compare phones

I personally like the Touch, it suites my needs and I love it. But everybody is different, and likes different things.

i love my mogul. tried the touch for a lil while before but didn't quite like it. i like the wifi and physical keyboard of the mogul. in the end, it's your choice. but if you end up picking the mogul, i have a couple for sale in bargain trader area

Take tweetybear's word for it. you can even get 2 for the price of one.

And my personal preference would be something that can last through the work day, and is just as business savvy as tech savvy, so the Mogul along with the hard keyboard, wifi, and its several shortcuts make for a great piece of hardware (despite the RAM) IMHO...

See I totally agree with you guys my only problem is the RAM. Do you run into problems with it... does it make it slower?

I really appreciate the input guys!

Re: Need help making a decision Sprint Touch or Mogul?

i have no problems with RAM. if anything, i use quickmenu or oxios hibernate and that solves it for me. i normally have about 20MB after using it a whole day and i use it alot. on fresh boot i get about 28-29MB. so that's quite a lot and enough for me. get the mogul
