compare this to the XV6700?

I've got an HTC Apache (XV6700) with custom ROM. I'm pretty happy with it but would like the GPS functionality. Can anyone run down the pros and cons of the Tytn II compared to the XV6700? What are the improvements? Any down-side? Is there a Kitchen somewhere for cooking a ROM for this thing?

128MB of RAM.
GPS.
Better Design.

What's not to like? Well, in the US it's only really available on AT&T that I've seen, so I guess it really depends on whether you like them or not.

what's the status of OS upgrades? For the XV6700, the gurus on this forum have developed a bunch of custom ROMs, a Kitchen, etc. which improve the reliability and add features. Have people been tinkering with this thing as well? I don't see as much of that for the Kaiser.

there are 6.1 kitchen based ROMs around the site in the apache upgrades section, and every 6700 user i came across is enjoying it so far.

Re: compare this to the XV6700?

there is not much tytnII support here but if you go to xda developers they already have the the touch diamond rom ported over to the tytnII. the phone is quick it has gps it has the ram and it has the keyboard. bad thing is it is still much larger than my touch but this phone is pretty awesome if you go to xda developers and check there you will get a totally different opinion there.if i was with AT&T i would get this phone asap.

I don't mind the large size; sounds perfect (except that I'm on Verizon right now...). Do you have the right XDA link for the ROM (or the kitchen)?

Thanks!!

Re: compare this to the XV6700?

you can also do a google search for the Kaiser 6.1 roms, but we're also sure enough that you can find them somewhere on xda or anywhere else. imma conduct a search right now... you can find them over here with the hard spl unlocker.
