Re: Mogul Replacement
Yeah it's going to be much much less, Rev. A internet, Sprint TV, Nagation, Radio, GPS, Video, removable battery, removable memory, looks cooler (black), easier interface. So yeah I think you can call it a better phone and deal, hence iPhone killer, then only thing it dosn't have is Apple's name.

Re: Mogul Replacement
The next gen iphone is rumored to have GPS, 16 or 32GB of memory (dont really need a microSD at that size) and the same multitouch interface with 3rd party application support. As long as the Instict is below $500 it will appeal to the masses who want a phone with a slick interface and easy to use applications without paying the premium for apple's brand.

And BTW the term "iphone killer" is like the dumbest phrase ever coined...maybe just under "ipod killer". I'm surprised that Sprint even used that term. It simply emphasizes that you have an inferiority complex and are admitting that whatever you are trying to "kill" is a better product. It just tells everyone "Look everyone, I'm so insecure about my phone that I have to compare it to the iphone..." Why not just advertise a product on it's own merits. Realistically how many products did you hear being an "iPod killer"? And then how many actually did it? (only one) Same thing goes for the iphone. Yes it's a good product but so is the Mogul, Touch... (haven't seen the Instinct yet, but it's probably good too.) Last edited by x10guy; 05-24-2008 at 01:46 PM. |

Re: Mogul Replacement
The Instinct videos try to be creative and true. But at the same time, the I'm a Mac and I'm a PC ads do pretty much the same thing. Side by side comparison, however they are very much mixed in with misinformation and half-truths. They seem to be more graceful though when it comes to masking their 'PC killer' subliminal message.

Re: Mogul Replacement
If this is not going to be a windows OS then, would it still have the ability to push mail, wifi, pop mail, and all the good things a WM phone can do.
