I hear that lol

Anyway, update on my decision, it doesnt really matter what I go with now because of the information I was givin today

Apearently... ANY device I upgrade to now will cause me to get a SERO Premium

ANY smartphone will be a SERO Premium plus data

So no matter what smart phone I get, 4g or not, I will be charged 20 bucks more then what I pay now.

I even told the guy i was chatting with about the other like 20 people I had talked with befor hand who had told me otherwise and he said
"As of January 30th, 2011, Any smart phone on a sero program would requier a premium plus data charges. So in total of 50 dollars a month. You have been misinformed, Im sorry."

Misinformed??? like 20 times???
i call bs

ya so I just talked to a different rep today and she said the same thing all the proir reps said

anyway that aside... I was at the sprint store the other day and saw a nifty little phone

the samsung conquer

anyone know anything about this one?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.2; en-us; MSM Build/FRX07) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

My daughter has a Conquer. Medium priced Android phone. Smallish screen, candybar, runs at 1 GHz. Didn't really have a chance to get familiar with it.

I "think" its like the Samsung Transform Ultra but with 4g and no keyboard. I thought you wanted a keyboard phone?

I would like one yes.. But while I was at the sprint store I looked around and most of the phones they have with keyboards just didnt feel good in my hands if you know what i mean. The buttons just didnt meet my fancy lol
That being said.. I tested out typing on some of them and some of the other newer phones.
I felt ok typing on the bigger phones.

But I came across the conquer and just from a hands on I really liked it. the look, the feel the location of everything.

What I have learned about it is that it has that 1ghz processor. It was VERY responsive when I was playing with it.

It had 4/5 bars on 4g in austin. And thats good news concidering we were inside at the back end of the store.

Im not necessarily "uapphy" about the fact that it only has a 320 by 480 res.. but it didnt look terible when I was looking at it.

its about the size of the top half of the touch pro 2 lol. maybe just a bit thicker then that but still overall like half the bulk of the tp2 in entierety

One thing I really liked was the texture of the phone overall.

But after hearing thats its only a "mid range for grandma" kinda made me rethink it.

And the fact that I didnt find ANY kind of development for this phone across a good number of sites... that was discouraging.

That being said... I think i have limited my choices to either that one or the epic 4g touch since its like a second galexy s

A frind of mind just got a the original galexy s and after playing with her phone I liked it.
Except for that fact that she cant send multiple messages.

Her phone stopes her at the 160 charicter limit and then she has to send it and compose another one.

My phone will just let me keep typing and then after i hit send just break them apart and send individual messages in a little chain.

hers cant...

Does the epic 4g touch have that problem?
Is there a way around that if it does?

Does anyone know if the conquer does this?

There is no 160 char stopper...thats a first I am hearing of this, it may be just a setting. In worse case this isn't winmo days, there are alternative SMS clients like Handcents SMS, GOSMS, SMS+ that are as good if not better then the stock sms client

I installed chomp sms on her phone and it allows her to chain when she is typing but when she hits send, if it was a multiple messages the recieving end only gets an "@" instead of the messages.

I had a phone a few years ago that had a char stopper. it was on sprint aswell.

but If its a setting I have no idea how to get rid of that

Have you seen me type a forum post? If there was a stopper I would probably have noticed...I use the stock SMS on my Epic with no issues and have used gosms, handcents sms, and sms+ and they are all pretty good hard to choose which one. Chomp SMS I tried too but like the least :/

Since you said they have Sprint and a Galaxy S you mean the Epic?
