Both are a major upgrade, the difference is the OS (and 4G), I went w/ the Arrive because I didn't want to have to pay +$10 for 4G (don't really need it either!)

SERO Premium - $40

Re: Arrive vs. Evo Shift

definitely go for the arrive. I've had it since launch and I'm enjoying every minute of it and can hardly put it down. it is very stable, doesn't lag and hang at all. it also has everything u are looking for as far as office goes. and besides Android has way more than enough tp2 converts(traitors?) its time for wp7 to get some. ull also be using an OS that is much more secure, authentic and not based on stolen code.

I'd like to correct 3 things..

1) TP2 people that swapped were not traitors...M$ betrayed first....loyalty lay with winmo, when M$ dumped winmo thats when it was fair game...

2) Why do you assume WP7 is more secure?
Android 2.2.1+ has exchange encryption support via pin and ability to remotely wipe via exchange server policies if device is lost..WP7 does not from what I read (correct me if I'm wrong)..

As of 3.0 Android is also getting full device encryption...

Don't get me wrong winmo is secure, prob more secure then android until the 3.0 hits..but WP7 is not meant for businesses yet..so its not as secure...

3) There is no stolen code...the code you are talking about is not even used directly in android, and if they are found guilty they will end up paying licensing fees...its not uncommon.as I told you before M$ also stole code on many occasions and ended up just paying licensing fees..or settling and making a workaround..

That said, the court case hasn't taken place so..innocent until proven guilty...

Re: Arrive vs. Evo Shift

Through Windows Live you can
Map it
See your phone's approximate location on a map.

Ring it

Ring your phone for one minute using a special ringtone even if it's on silent or vibrate mode.

Lock it

Lock your phone so that nobody else can use it. You can also put a "please return" note on the screen.

Erase it

Remove all the information on your phone and reset it to the factory settings.

Yes, I am sure thats possible..never said it isn't as its possible with all smartphones these days..but thats for "personal use"..for enterprise use the security policies are much more stricter...aka not only you should have access to wipe the phone, but the server administrator should be able to wipe the corporate data..not to mention the data needs to be properly encrypted.
