Re: Sprints EVO 4G and EPIC 4G Comparison

Waste of time IMO. If you’re going to compare a phone compare it with something that’s better or at least on the same level. Also don’t just talk about how great the new phone is and say nothing about the one you’re “comparing” it to. No specs or anything? I’m sure the screen size is smaller and it has a keyboard. DLNA? (sp?) I'll pass for now...

Re: Sprints EVO 4G and EPIC 4G Comparison

The Epic is listed at 4" for the screen size, all of us have heard about the cameras and the sale price without any discounts: $499.99. That's $500.

Re: Sprints EVO 4G and EPIC 4G Comparison

I Love my EVO, but I'm still not a fan of the soft keyboard. I could live with swype, but it's not compatible with 2.2 yet. I would take an epic over the EVO. It's not worth switching, but If I was buying right now for sure.

This version of swype works fine with 2.2 as I am running it right now and it even has the mic button..

A guy i work with got the AT&T version of the Galaxy S and I really wasn't that impressed with the screen. At least not as much as I thought and well frankly the screen looked small compared to my EVO

That may be true but considering you can install many different launchers from the market touchwiz isn't much of an issue really.

Thanks for the tip, but 1.56 has issues with 2.2. I'm glad it's working for you, but I've had bad results. I know there is a 1.6 swype beta somewhere. Maybe that will fix it.

Also, swype 1.56 prevents my phone from sleeping. I had to wipe my phone three times to determine this.. that was a pain.

To add to the topic. I have NEVER liked HTC's build quality.. period. They are the Chevy of smartphones IMHO. I had a Samsung i730. it was build like a tank. Still works to this day.
