I'm glad you haven't given up on winmo yet because the specs for the tmobile hd2 came out and it has more ram and rom then the uk version. it also comes with a 16gb card.

http://www.htc.com/us/products/t-mobile-hd2#tech-specs

cool, then I wont worry about rooting....

Wow, the Leos specs look aweeeeesome..... 1gb ram wow..... No havent given up on winmo yet and will be getting the Leo also when it drops.....

Thanks for the heads up..

Edit: I bet the extra rom is dedicated for Sense UI........ since in the past tflo hogs ram......

I pulled the trigger also. I ordered the nexus one. I will use this phone till the hd2 comes out. I sold my sprint tp2 for 295 and i just shipped it (bye bye tp2 forum). once the hd2 comes out i will sell my nexus. I still have a tp1 lying around i will leave that on my sprint account because i definitely don't want to cancel my 29.99 sero plan. $30 sero, 500 min unlimited data and text, $59.99 tmobile-500 min, unlimited data and text. Damn thats still cheaper then verizon and att with unlimited data

Can the Nexus one be used as a modem (Tethered or phone as a modem) the way that the TP's can?

yes it can. its one of the top 10 apps for the nexus at the moment. without rooting your nexus you can only do wifi tethering.. Rooting is the same as unlocking, you have to root your phone if you want usb tethering.

you can download in the car while driving and your phone plugged in (if you live in a giant city with terrible traffic)

btw, can you install programs to sd on android if you have it rooted/flashed?

I may jump to the tmo hd2 if mwc doesn't impress me with a slider which I'm hoping it does

i can promise you, you won't be disappointed. my 3g always gets faster download times then evdo, everytime. as long as the tmobile coverage map says your good, you will not have any problems with tmobile. their coverage map is very accurate.

I'm mostly concerned with chicago, LA and china (3 places I know I will be in the future) so 3g is a must. I won't get the touch hd2 at launch but probably around may or june unless I find an extremely good price on craigslist

also I am wondering on the typing experience on the touch hd2 - with spb full keyboard does it make things livable? I wonder
