TP2 is like a virgin you can get it to do what you want. Customization.......... Keyboard, more than one provider, so if you have sero you would never want to go to the expesive at&T plans. A peice of mind also because you can't fully insure a iphone if your phone drops or gets stolen its a wrap. I can go on and on about the benefits. Iphone is a good phone though if your not computer savey or a girl it might be a better phone for you.

That is the one.

That KB is annoying a lot of people, I don't really mind it although I use TouchPal 3.5 & I would certainly prefer to switch to that & it won't let me......

What? Have you ever compared the audio quality of the iPhone to the Touch Pro2? It blows it out of the water. That was the whole main point of the iPhone originally; a phone that doubles as a full quality MP3 player.

Music on the TP2 is just a feature. The sound quality isn't bad, but its nowhere near as good as it is on the iPhone.

Its not even about the software. I actually really like the Sense UI player; its just that the audio processor isn't as good.

As for the browser, I don't like browsing on the iPhone/iPod Touch because there's no keyboard and I HATE on-screen keyboards...

My reasons are simple:

1) BIG keyboard that slides out and tilts
2) Removable Battery
3) Micro SD slot
4) Sprint vs ATT (lower bill every month!! and better service!)
5) It was free!!!
6) You don't need an additional purchase to do Excel, Word or Powerpoint
7) Slingbox works WAY better on the TP2 than Iphone (probably due to AT&T)
8) Easier integration into a Microsoft Networking environment (Outlook conduits, Exchange servers, etc)
9) You can tweak the OS with custom roms
10) WAY better battery life!! (my coworkers have Iphones and they can't pass a power outlet!)

Maybe it would be better just to change the thread title to "Why the TP2 is better for me.."

Honestly the TP2 is better for me than the iphone but it's just arrogance to say that my preference in a phone is best for all. Therefore every other phone stinks.

To be honest, out of the box, they both sound identical to me. By that I mean I hear no interference from either phone, and both phones have software equalizer programs readily available to use incase you dont like the way they came set up. Unless the iphone/touch offers 5.1+ surround sound, both devices have identical audio-out capabilities (although the iphone/touch delivers a far more polished experience)

I'm not a die-hard defender of WM, but it doesnt mean I'm going to keep a straight face when I hear some lemming tell me how the Iphone is superior to any mobile device in the market: which unfortunately happens an awful lot where I work.

PS: Ive witnessed some iTards that stand in line at a starbucks and flash their Iphones to the workers so they can SHOW them their drinks. Either their incompetent, or they're looking for attention. :angry7:
