This is a Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D (Manila) on the Treo Pro
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...5/sshot027.png http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...5/sshot028.png http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46...5/sshot029.png Example Theme: Diamond Blue 1. It is recommended to perform a Hard reset before we begin. Just to start with a clean slate and avoid any possible conflict with programs already installed on your pro 2. Install Real VGA (Thanks Ebag)
4.Install Manila 2D (Thanks koolcdj69)
I also want to thank brianlp518 for making the comprehensive list, it made this much easier. Enjoy! ------------- Update 8/16/09 Thanks to koolcdj69 and his hard work, he made a new HTCHomeSetting.xml file, this now allows you to have fully working TouchFLO 2D in 128dpi. So now RealVGA is not necessary if you want to use 128dpi. Also if you want some "Luxury" apps, take a look at koolcdj69's thread over at treocentral.com ------------- ------------- Additional Themes from koolcdj69 ------------- ------------- ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- ALL FILES (Updated 081609) ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Can You please upload all this files in a single zip or rar file? Its a humble request!

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
im impressed with this, though im having a few minor issues. first, with the use of RealVGA, ive lost my task manager drop down in the top right corner. second, when i move between screens with the slider, the right half of the screen sticks and still displays the previous section i was in. this can be temporarily fixed by pressing up or down, but only fixes it until i move to another screen.
ive tried using this in the original 128DPI and it works great except the softkey bar at the bottom gets in the way. i would prefer to use this resolution if we could find a way to eliminate or maybe reduce the size of the bottom bar. oh, and is there a way to edit the cities for the weather? there r no cities listed newhere near me. Overall great job :) *presses thanks button* |

Im not sure why your task manager doesnt work, maybe you didnt install a file? or maybe not in the correct order?.... Mine works fine and i applied this theme to 2 other treo pro's and their task managers work too Also, I dont know of any way to reduce or eliminate the softkey bar. Plus i use the softkeys often, so i really didnt want to eliminate it.. maybe reducing is an optional, but im no programmer. For the weather cities, i dont think there is any way to add a city that isnt already in the list, but i could be wrong.. |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
I am having the same problem with the right 1/4 of the screen "sticking". I tried this fix. It doesn't fix the sticking. No matter what I do I can't get rid of it.
|
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
so i just hard reset my phone and reinstalled everything.. and now my right 1/4th is "sticking" too lol.... im trying to figure out how to fix this
|
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
yeah...honestly i love this feature...just annoying. i wonder if it's caused by realvga?
actually, i tried 128 dpi and it still does it. dang! what is causing this... |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro

Hello,
I'm not a genius, but I have this problem solved copying all the files on the "Step Two" folder that is part of the multi part install solution posted on the xda-developer.com site. It seems that this folder contains one or several files that fixes the problem. I really didn't test all the files one by one, just copied all of them to the Windows folder and problem solved. Please let me know if it worked for any of you. gb |

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
I'm using Resco Explorer to copy the files to the Windows directory. I believe that either Resco or Total Commander can be used to copy the files.

Heres the fix:
1. Unzip HTCHomeSettings.zip and paste the HtcHomeSettings.XML file into your windows folder on your pro 2. Go into M2DC and reapply theme FIXED! |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Please, only use the HTCHomeSettings if you are not using RealVGA. If you are using RealVGA, you don't need to apply this files. If you are not using it, then you should use this file, as stated on the first post of this thread.

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
estuardo, I did what you said in the pm. It didn't work. I downloaded jumpmans htchomesetttings and it completely fixed the right side of the screen error. Everything seems to be working. I did follow all of the original steps in the OP including installed realvga.
|
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
I can attest to the copying of the files in "STEP TWO" to the Windows folder USING RESCO EXPLORER (the only one that would work) corrected this issue. Please add this to the list! :)

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
brandon,
I followed the instructions posted on Treocentral.com for the Manila2D install instructions. There koolcd mentioned that you only have to onstall the HTC file if you are not running RealVGA at 96dpi. http://discussion.treocentral.com/tr...d-one-cab.html But if worked for you, I'm glad. It is good to know that it was a real solution for you. gb |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
edit-Got everything transferred over, but am still having the "sticking" issue.
|
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Please take a look at these threads:
http://discussion.treocentral.com/tr...-treo-pro.html http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=182 Follow all the steps and downloads. If you read all the comments you will notice that almost everybody had it working on their phone. Having Manila2D working on my Treo Pro has been a challenge, but I think is worth it. gb |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Ahem,:) Koolcdj69 here, thank you JuMpMaN6235 for posting up my install method ( manila320square cab and htc camera).
Well, i think it would also be good if you posted up the luxury apps I had put up in my original thread at Treo Central, as those really come in handy and work nicely. (Big Task Manger, Audio Manager, Audio Booster,) And addressing the problem everyone seems to have with the "screen sticking" part, i think that the problem has to do with the background image. I found if the background image does not fit your screen it tends to do this. So in that case i would suggest just copying and pasting a working background which i have done to fix that. Also I will link back to my original thread for luxury apps and themes. http://discussion.treocentral.com/tr...d-one-cab.html Thank you for mirroring this at PPC Geeks. :violent2: Also, a theme i made which works for me no doubt :). Intimidating Red Theme (128dpi Natively)[MADE BY ME KOOLCDJ69] http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot000.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot001.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot002.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot003.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot004.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot005.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot006.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot007.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot008.jpghttp://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/sshot009.jpg To install just download the zip file, open M2DC, point ""add theme"" to wherever you saved the zip file and then apply theme. This zip file does not have any HTC Home Settings included so it will work with RealVGA because it will not change your RealVGA HTC Home Settings and should work. http://www.mediafire.com/file/wltiu4... Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
hi umm, i just installed the TouchFlo and it works great!! oh, and i was just wondering if theres anyway i can add personal cities to the weather icon besides the default.
|
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
I am curios as to what this app adds to the functionality of the phone or is it just a better looking them. I am using SPB right now and that seems pretty good. I am not flaming, just asking. I don't see any images here showing me the graphical improvements.

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Koolcdj69.. in your post above you state" To install just download the zip file, open M2DC, point ""add theme"" to wherever you saved the zip file and then apply theme..."
I'm sorry but how exactly you install this "M2DC".. i think you referring to the "14. 2d.Manila.Engine-Beta-0.09.cab" which after I click on I only get tis bunch of files that I'm unable to open or transfer to my treo pro??? PLEASE HELP!!!!! Many thaks for the hard work:) |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
When i said Open M2DC, i meant you install it on your Treo and then start the program.
Same with 14.2d engine beta, you have to transfer the CAB to your phone and then install it from there. |
Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
