i just open the program, click connect and plug in to my computer...thats it.

Everyone-
So am I understanding correctly after reading this thread that the using my phone as model (Internet Sharing) isn't supposed to be enabled on my Sprint Treo Pro?

I flashed Icon's rom 6.5 awhile back and having been using the tethering for about a month or two now.

I was having an issue being able to tether for a day or so and ended up calling Sprint's advanced tech support. After mentioning that "I need help with using my phone as a modem", I was told that my plan doesn't include that feature.

Because it clearly was working before on my Everything Plan, I just said "oh..." and then ended the phone call. Did a hard-reset on the phone and it works fine again.

So long story (sorry), but was just wondering if Icon's ROM somehow is enabling my phone to be used as a modem when in actuality the treo pro isn't supposed to be "allowed" to be used as such?

Also... Does anyone know if I can adjust any sort of settings to maximize the internet speed while using Treo Pro as a modem? (either on the phone or my pc)...

Assuming I have a good signal where 3g is available, there are certain times when websites load faster than my wireless and other times, it lags and lags to load the page.

ur fone can PAM, but sprint wants to charge u for it

like i said earlier..they want to charge u for a service the fone can do without their provisioning or whatever

if u tether via usb, thats faster then blueteeth...
