This is my today screen. Im using the HTC Home VGA along with Weatherpanel (PhatPhinger theme for 320X320, Stardock VGA icons) and of course my skyfire today plugin.

First thing you need to do is do a registery edit as follows:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Wireless"
change the value of 'Enabled' to 0
then download HTC Home 2.1 from this post but do not install yet:

next download HTC Home VGA from this link:

now install HTC Home 2.1, then install HTC Home VGA as soon as the first finishes
Soft Reset
you will need to do another registery edit to get rid of the second battery icon:
hklm\software\microsoft\shell\ShowTitleBarClock
chsnge the value of 'ShowTitleBarClock' to 1 and Soft Reset again and you should set up.

ok, one thing i notice. people have a time displayed twice(top right corner and on today screen itself) ??? why?? i jus feel thats wasted real estate..imo.

Hey crashjack... Just wondering... does this give us the 'transparent' version of HTC Home or is it a 'black' background... I like to go with the transparent... Your instructions seem simple enough though...

well, i just had the time put there because the HTC Home automatically put a second battery icon there (which wasnt accurate either) i havent figured out how to eliminate the battery icon without putting the time in its place.

well, the time section and notification section are transparent, but the icon section has a black background. i havent managed to find a version of HHC that works with this yet.
