I am on my third 800 right now. They have sent me refurb units both times. For some reason the phone decides to stop charging. I asked about replacing the phone under warranty and they said they no longer do that. From now on any phone that has issues will be sent a refurb unit.

dang it...well if my 800 tanks i aint takin no stinkin refurb!!!

I'm in the same boat. My 800w bricked on me, it freezes at the Palm screen and now I'm just waiting for a call to get a new one. I did just swap to a Treo Pro I bought and I have to say, I like the Pro a lot more than the 800w.

Unless it's within the first 30 days, replacements either via TEP or warranty are refurbs. It's been that way as long as I can remember and I've been with Sprint since 2000.
