Group Texting
 

Hey everyone. I have been trying to do group texts with my contacts but I am able to. I have tried the programs Group SMS and Power SMS but neither work for the Treo 800w. Can anyone help? Thanks

so if u go to create a new sms, and just pick and add each contact 1 by 1, that doesnt send to all parties???

No it doesn't work. I checked the website for Power SMS and it says that the Treo 800 is not supported for some reason.

Using Palm SMS I can do up to 10 contacts at a time. I'm currently using POutlook and I was able to select more than 10 contacts but I had nothing witty to send them.

Yeah pOutlook will do it for you. Using outlook for SMS makes far more sense.

I don't think this what I want. I like the threaded SMS that I have, and I think that is for the Palm OS. I have WM6.1. I have over 100+ contacts in my phone, and I would like to create groups out of those to send a text to without have to select each and every one of them individually. I tried Power SMS and Group SMS, but both of them do not work for the Treo 800w. Thanks in advance for your help.

POutlook is for WM6.1 I am currently running it. It is threaded. It is far superior to the OEM SMS on the 800w. You can send a text to all your contacts. I have 100+ contacts as well and I send group texts all the time.

So you can set up groups, and then send a text to a group without having to select them individually? If so, this is for me!
