I have been able to setup a group sending option by saving a message (not template) with all the recipients of the group. to send a group message, go to your saved messages, click on the message and do resend. it will open a message box with the recipients prefilled. this seems to be closest option to the actual group message option and still retain the chat format with the individual recipients. I have not tried outlook yet tho.

on a side note, i would recommend you do the hack to make sure you can send multiple text messages found here

hopefully you may be able to just make the group sms program work if you enable this hack.

Thanks. I did apply the registry change to allow me to text 50 instead of the standard 10. I am still looking for a way to set up groups, so I can send multiple texts to the same group. However, using your method listed, I would have to send the same message over again. I would like to be able to change the message, and not send the same one over and over.

when you hit resend it brings up an editable msg window. my saved message has just a word to indicate what group it is - like friends or business etc..
you can erase it and type in the message you want and send. just try it and you will know what i mean, probably confusing to understand what i wrote.
I know... this is nothing like just calling a group and sending a msg, but the closest alternative and I use it everyday.
I wud be crazy to send the same msg to the same ppl everyday tho...:)
