Backlight issue with Sedio Extended Battery

I have recently purchased the Sedio extended battery for my 800W. Since then I am always seeing the backlight turn off during use plugged in or not.

Today I switched back to the factory battery and it has worked perfectly all day long.

Just trying to see if anyone else who purchased the Sedio battery is seeing the same issue, and if so what did they do about it.

Re: Backlight issue with Sedio Extended Battery

I can't see how the battery would be causing that. Are you sure it wasn't just the fact that you removed the battery and rebooted that the problem went away?

Re: Backlight issue with Sedio Extended Battery

I've had the extended battery since just after it came out. No issue like this until I had keyboard issues and now my new unit is doing the same as above. Anyone have a fix?

Same issue here. No fix that I know of.

Re: Backlight issue with Sedio Extended Battery

Now as for the screen going dim, u can try start/settings/system/backlight. now uncheck the top box on the battery power tab. and also uncheck the top box on the external power tab.
another thing u can do, is tap power on the bottom of the screen. tap the middle tap, and uncheck the top box here also. NOW, u have to remember to tap the red phone key(for this i suggest reading Danneman's reg edit thread in the 800 forum) to put it to sleep. i noticed as long as i had certain things unchecked, it would not go dim. Also, read around and you'll notice that, the battery dimming issue, is believed to be a hardware issue, therefore making it difficult to fix. so i just decided to keep my phone set this way. i got used to and dont mind putting it asleep all the time, others felt the opposite way.
