THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!
Glad I could help. And you're right, it should come standard on all WM phones.

gotta disagree with ya here skeeg, i love it. I love the convenience of being able to see what time it is and if i have a message without actually turning my phone on. I wish I could customize it so I could get more alerts to show up.

The "screen saver" is great... you get the time and date and SMS and VM indicators... what more do you want ?

Re: no visual indicator for sms/txt received on menu bar

i am suffering from the same problem of a missing sms msg inidcator at the top level of the today screen, which is a huge pain since i have have to log in everytime to check to see if i have a text message. my local sprint store says that the indicator is not part of the phone, yet the documentation suggests it shoudl be there...as it was with my 700wx and as some of your pictures show.

i understand the TreoAlerts software is a good option for making the indicator light blink when i have a message, but, i am more interested in getting the phone to function as it should.

any chance you guys can indicate to me software levels or provide me with some guidance about how to update the phone to get it to behave like yours (the ones in the pictures)?

thank you (sprint, 800w)
