Re: big problem

Check your sounds and notifications settings. Make sure that you have selected the right sounds.

The path is: Settings/Personal/Sounds & Notifications.

Did they work at some point? If you did a hard reset (and didn't install or restored from a backup) and they still didn't work then that might be a defective device in your hands.

More info is needed please.

late,
Coz

Re: big problem

i made sure i selected sounds that were working, and it made noise when i selected them, but right after hard reset i got nothing. sounds like your right about it being defective i was just hoping it may have been a problem i could fix. kinda working around it by using the alarm EXE from the LG menu cab. but ill device swap and post what happens

Re: big problem

Did you recently add any sort of media player that might have changed your audio file associations?

Re: big problem

Have you flashed a new rom/radio, if so before you call your carrier, or walk into a store, flash to the newest rom from your carrier.

1) you can check the sounds then
2) you will be covered by your carrier

Re: big problem

found it out.

seems i was restoring the wrong backup with PIMBackup from my touch phone and apparently it had something to do with restoring the texts from my touch to my 800w. so i restored my contacts via bluetooth from a hard reset and my reminders and alarms are working again.

also someone before had mentioned that opera 9.5 created issues with reminders i got the official beta from opera.com and i dont have these issues either.

and so far there are no custom roms for the 800w. unfortunatly....
