so.. 'spalin to me this wifi...

the rev a evdo is pretty fast. what advantage or uses does wifi add for me since i have an unlimited data plan??

not many when it comes to using the wifi connection to browse or things like that. but it does have a few benefits.

having wifi built into the phone though...u can now use your phone as a wireless router. so u can connect with your laptop, your cousin's, and your brother's....all using your phone's wifi to provide the connection.

although u may not use that feature too often, it's still really, really nice to have when the need arises.

I am in a hotel in a town where I only get X1 no EVDO here, press the button and BAM I am surfing high speed again. That my friend is the advantage to WIFI. I also use it at home a lot it just makes the whole surfing experience a little snappier

Enter ##EVDO# (for the uninitiated, that’s the same as entering ##3836#)

See that “secret” command menu? See that little box next to “Enable Rev
A?” CHECK that box

Set Broadband Setting to “Automatic”

Cruise along at EVDO Rev. A speeds on both the downstream and upstream

im not getting this. i have the wifi turned on but my computer doesnt recognize it as a wifi connection. am i doping something wrong?

VERY COOL... but it doesn't work for me... i get "ActivationApp Failed TILUtilReadNVItem." hten "ActivationApp Error: Could not retrieve current Service Mode"

How do I know if I'm using Rev A? Do I just assume I am?

Also, newb question.. how can I use my phone as a "router" for wifi for my laptop and such?
