battery status incorrect

I am having a problem with the battery status on my Treo 800W. It doesn't seem to be reading the battery level correctly. It always says 83%.

It says it after it has charged a full day (with radio off) and it says it just before the battery dies. I am pretty sure its the phone because it happens for two different batteries, both of which work (and charge up to 100%) fine in my Treo Centro.

I have tried a hard reset and I still am getting the same problem.

Anyone have thoughts?
