Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

AstainHellbring please enlighten us as to how you managed to get wmwifirouter working on the 800w. I have recently installed it on mine and it is throwing out the "Unknown run-time error: 202" its very dissapointing

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

Yea I am curious to know if this is really working for people. After seeing reports that this worked I bought th Treo. I am disappointed to find out that it does not work. I really liked it on my Mogul being able to connect my Ipod Touch through it.

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

Please keep in mind that there are many versions of WMWifiRouter out there. I believe the newest official is 1.05, but 1.2x is in beta phase. Many users are using the old free version 0.87

Please state which version you are using when posting your results.

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

Indiagroove : I have tried the .91(that may not be the exact number) and the newest publicly available 1.08 . both give the same error. Where could I get a copy of 1.2 as it is not public?

in the meantime could someone patch and post the intshare.dll so we can do this manually? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here it just doesn't seem to work.

Unfortunately, 1.2 is only available for official beta testers only.

You can go to this forum, and talk to Jorrit or MoroseMedia. They may be willing to let you be a beta tester:

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

Indiagroove: So you can confirm that 1.2 works with the treo 800w? I would like to sign up for the Beta program but they only allow software license holders to apply. I'll buy it right now if that Beta software works!
Thanks

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

Guys, the 1.20 beta is only available at this time to the official beta team. It's a PRIVATE beta. We hope to put it in PUBLIC beta in approximately a month, at which time all registered users will be able to get it. We may make a few exceptions for those who cannot get the old version to work.

That being said, because of the massive amount of inquiries about the Treo800w and compatibility with WMWifiRouter, we are looking at moving up the public beta to a release date closer by, or providing some other solution. No promises there yet, though. However, someone is testing the beta right now on a Treo800w, we're still waiting on the report back.

We can confirm that the current version ( 1.08 ) available for download at our site is NOT compatible with the Treo800w.

I don't have a 800w, so I can't confirm. I have a Titan.

Hey Chainfire, how come the newest version available for me to download when I login is 1.05 (not including beta)?

There's no difference between 1.05 and 1.08 if you have a license key, only differences to trial-mode operation.

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

I was reading on another forum that PDANET 2.0 can be used as a wifi hotspot now. If you need to upgrade from 1.80 its $20. Just thought I would let some of you know that there is an alternative to WMWifiRouter and it is already out and working. Though you do have to set up your own ad-hoc network, but instructions can be easily found through PDANet.
