I dont understand that??

And is the sms to email the same as just sending a regular sms? Or is it a different charge? I have a text messaging plan I am just trying to figure out if sms to email will fall under that category.

My bad. I think faster then I type. The sentence was susposed to read: I just put the email address in the to: field instead of a phone number.

Sorry I am going to go back and edit that post of mine.

Dankinia,

Hey thanks, no worries, I was just like hmmm haha, but everything works I had the updated .cab already and so I believe the number was already good to go. Tested and received in a matter of less than a minute. What would happen if I replied to the email I know it only takes two seconds to do, but I would like to be aware of the consequences prior to taking that step.
Thanks again, man I love learning new little tricks.

Paul, You can reply with out a problem and get it as an sms. When you send a SMS to an email from verizon it comes through like an email on your email program. On the email it self it will say from: yourphonenumber@vtext.com (if you have used the vtext web site you might have assigened an alias for the number) You can hit reply to that and and it will come right back to your phone.

I am not sure I explained that very well. :) So feel free to ask me for clafication.

I removed the other .cab the hour you released the new one

problem is, the rapidshare link is still up which has the old version (figured it' be easy in case someone didn't want to register).

but I think i'll take that down now.

dankinia,

Thanks, yeah Verizon has been milkin me for awhile so I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't gonna get some random charge. I am currently on the $5/month for 250 any kind of messages but i think next cycle im gonna go to the $10/for 500 and unlimited in. Im pissed though cause i used to have $5 unlimited in wiht 50 outside, but when I went from 6600 to 700w they were like we cant add it anymore, god that pissed me off. But in any case cheers for the info!!

Isn't Verizon running some 2000 free message allowance? I read about it on another forum. They called customer service and asked for the 2000 message allowance and poof, free messages.

PerfectHybrid 11-02-2006 11:34 AM

I've now reada bout it in a few forums, however it seems as though you need the unlimited data plan, which i dont have...of course lol, but from a post in another forum I guess there is a code "70246" so they dont have to look around for it and apparently the ideal way to do it is takl to someone in the data department.

Ok now that sounds wonderful. What forums are you reading this on. I dont see anything here or on TC about this. But then again it is easy for me to miss stuff like that.

I am going to have to give Verizon a call.
