well it was a message it reported that sms threader did not.. each time i soft reset it, the same exact message comes back. it all works until you soft reset the phone, then it comes back as before. there must be somewhere else in the phone where its storing that old txt message.

Palm hopes people will buy treo's because of this product.

Palm paid people MONEY to develop this product.

Palm took the time to make this program FLAWLESS on their device.

Palm expects to be reimbursed for this time, money, and product by increased sales (long-term) because of this program that they have created.

Putting this program on other devices is stealing their product, which they MAY hope to SELL to other manufacturers that can pre-install on their devices as well.

Look how long it took for hackers to INSTALL the program, which they had in-hand, already produced, on the TREO 700, which is very similar to the 750. There are a lot of settings involved, and a lot of registry edits. You think they did all of this work so people who buy Samsung or HTC branded devices can reap the rewards?

I'm not preaching, I was guilty too. But I understand the drama here, its pretty obvious why they have a problem with it.

So, I just switched from a Treo 650 to a Cingular 8525, and this program was the reason I did instead of waiting for the 750. But, after reading the instructions again, particularly the "NOT FOR NEWBIES" warning, I have been made sufficiently nervous. I really don't want to mess anything up, so is there anyone out there that knows of another way to do this, or is kind enough to post or pm some instructions a little more foolproof? To give you a better idea of my level of (in)experience, the first instruction is "install .cab file"...how do I do that? And yes, now I'm embarassed. To make matters worse, this is also my first official post to a message board. You may laugh now.

Ok, first off thank you to everyone who made this happen!!! I've tried to go through most of the thread, but I haven't been able to find anything on how to configure MMS for Verizon, I saw Cingular and Sprint, but nothing on Verizon, can someone post them?

Also, I'm not sure but the messaging app seems to have a memory leak (I guess it could be something else) performance seems to degrade throughout the day (including auto-complete failing to function), a soft reboot always seems to fix the issues...

Just install the cab. Check the Hermes forum. I posted the Cingular settings there on the first page of the Hermes-specific thread. Go for it, you thief! Haha
