i have been following the sms thread app and i'm a bit confused. I know why 6700 users are excited, i used to have a treo 650 and miss the threaded sms. I cant figure out why 700w and 700wx users are excited about this app, don't these phones already come with threaded sms. Is this version better? Just curious.

Nope, that's the hype... we were promised (by Palm's advertising) threaded SMS on the wx (I have copies of the old PDF data sheets showing it), but Palm did not deliver. It was the huge amount of users calling and e-mailing them that made them finally change the date sheet and website description as it still showed the wx with threaded SMS.

I doubt the SMS issues us related to the wx, it was working before. I can vouch for it as one of my best friends has T-Mobile and we had no isses during the first days I had purchased my phone. Funny thing is, international SMS is working almost instantly...

I looked all over the ppc and couldn't find this 'options' to enter the center number. Do I need to install the attached .cab for this feature to come up? Thanks.

yea for the threaded sms if u haven't installed then install the .cab and then go to menu/options/advanced and enter it there along with sprints mms server addy in the first couple posts.

I don't understand. You haven't said what these entries actually do. Do they fix the delayed send issue? Or are you simply posting them because you found them on the rom?
Can you confirm they do anything?

Someone needs to get the actual registry and export just those changes listed above so we can just import them ourselves.

there are significant changes between the two devices in this regard, which is not good when trying to isolate differences in behavior.
