DUN/Tethering/Modem use broken with Sprint 1.15

It's well known that Sprint's 1.15 firmware update breaks DUN/Tethering/Modem use through the built-in modem software. The fix?

It looks like PdaNet 1.73+ works, but some of us don't have $34 to waste.

Mine works via bluetooth on my XP laptop, but not on my Vista PC. How are you connecting to your wx?

Yep. I can't get the cable to work anymore, but I have a USB bluetooth radio and it works nicely. Maybe you should pick up one. They're cheap.

This thing is not if one thing works and the other not. This is an issue that has to be resolved. The update clearly says that it fix phone as a modem issues, but phone can not be even used with Sprint Connection Management after being upgraded to 1.15. This issue has to be resolved by Palm or Sprint. If the update has issues, it has to be retired. Period.

Ok. Complaining about my response won't fix the problem with Sprint or Palm. I was simply giving my experience of what works and what doesn't and trying to help the fellow use his phone as a modem. Why sit and brood when the cable doesn't work if there is an easy workaround?

Problem solved..... PDANet as mentioned on other threads did the trick, absolute smooth connection via PDANet. Just one click to the icon and I'm automatically connected to the Internet! I'm happy now, and Santos, thanks for ur honest opinion.
